Hoi An (Quang Nam) is a picturesque ancient town situated along the Hoai River. Besides the old quarter, travelers can delve into the surrounding areas such as the pottery park or Tra Que vegetable village.
What are the best activities for a single day visit to Hoi An?

Located about 4 km from the city center of Hoi An (Quang Nam), Tra Que vegetable village is renowned for providing the freshest and cleanest vegetables to the locals. Here, besides admiring the lush vegetable beds, visitors can experience being authentic farmers. Photo credit: Réhahn, @anna.cheimonettou, @joi_vietnam.

Local villagers will share their traditional farming techniques with visitors, including methods for cultivating soil, fertilizing, planting, and caring for vegetables. For photography enthusiasts and lovers of beauty, the light in the village from sunrise to sunset will be a feast for the imagination and creativity. Photographer Réhahn believes that Trà Quế is also famous for capturing the most beautiful sunsets in Hội An. Photo: Réhahn.

If you're interested in crafting clay into pottery, tea pots, and rice bowls, you can visit the Thanh Hà pottery village, about 4 km west of downtown Hội An. In contrast to the Tra Que vegetable village, this village has become a popular destination for young people to check-in to in recent years when visiting Hội An. The highlight of the village is the Thanh Hà terracotta park, built based on a model centered around pottery. Although it began operating in 2015, it wasn't until mid-2017 that more tourists began to discover this place. Photo: @binthi306, @boulevardbrowser, @lara_chytaka.

Located 50 km from Hội An, Tam Thanh mural village promises to be an ideal check-in spot for young people. The mural painting project here started in mid-2016, a joint effort between South Korea and Vietnam. The characters in the murals are the residents of the houses themselves. Photo: Nguyễn Tử Thắng.
