Microsoft Editor utilizes AI and machine learning to instantly detect spelling and grammar errors as you type in products like Outlook and Word. After the update, you can open your documents in Microsoft Word, and the free editing tool will assist in correcting any grammar mistakes.
Unlike the current spell-check tool in Word, Microsoft Editor goes beyond, examining every element in your text and then displaying suggestions to help you correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and more.
In Microsoft Word PC, you can also highlight sentences to access the 'suggested' list managed by Microsoft's AI. Based on these suggestions, you can modify sentences for better alignment or entirely rewrite them.
Additionally, you can choose a word and then press Shift + F10 to access a screen displaying suggestions. There's even a plagiarism checker to ensure citations are inserted correctly.
Microsoft Editor is currently available for some testers running Windows 10 version 2010 (Build 13328.20000). Beyond Microsoft Word, the 'enhanced left-click suggestion experience' is also being rolled out in Outlook for Windows in beta channels.
