On October 2, Vietnam's premier League of Legends team, GAM Esports, arrived in New York to participate in the pinnacle event of the sport, the 2022 World Championship, commencing their intensive prep for the competition.
GAM Encounters Jet Lag Challenges in the US
In the US, GAM team members face difficulties adjusting to a new daily schedule due to jet lag, working to synchronize with the local time zone to regain their optimal state.
Player Tran Duy Sang (Kiaya) mentions the struggle with acclimating to the US's time and weather, aiming to adjust his biological clock for the best preparation for the upcoming Group Stage.

Health and fitness are GAM's top priority to ensure optimal performance and morale for the competition.

GAM Esports brings seasoned expertise against TOP Esports
In Worlds 2022 Group C, GAM's first challenge is against TOP Esports, the LPL's second seed, known for their exceptional skill. Coach JackieWind notes, 'Our repeated practice sessions with TOP Esports have equipped us with valuable insights. Despite the daunting task, we're all in to secure a victory.'

TK Nguyen, CEO of NRG Asia and team owner, adds: 'GAM's focus is razor-sharp on training for Worlds' success. Following SGB's departure, our drive has intensified to fulfill what SGB began, aiming to achieve new VCS milestones at Worlds.'

At Worlds, GAM players relish the chance to mingle with global Esports stars. Levi excitedly shares, 'Meeting other players at Worlds, who are all friendly and welcoming, has been a delight. We even flew with CFO (CTBC Flying Oyster) members, with whom we've extensively practiced before. I'm eager to meet and train with more top players to broaden our experience.'

Following the Play-In Stage, DragonX, Fnatic, Royal Never Give Up, and Evil Geniuses have advanced to the Group Stage. In the Worlds 2022 draw, GAM has been placed in Group C alongside TOP Esports, Rogue, and DragonX, posing a significant challenge for Vietnam's top seed facing formidable opponents. GAM's inaugural Group Stage match is scheduled against TOP Esports on October 9, 2022.
