Essay Response:
Someone once asked me: What is a dream?
Back in my childhood, with each moment and event, I would paint for myself another dream. Watching animated movies, I once wished for some magic to happen, allowing me to become a little fairy spreading happiness to everyone. At times, I dreamt of becoming a superhero with supernatural powers to save the world. Seeing my parents dressed neatly and beautifully to go to work, I wished to grow up quickly, to wear beautiful clothes, walk in high heels, and be free to do what I want without parental restrictions or nagging. Looking back now, those thoughts of my childhood were naive and innocent, creating a memorable sky of childhood.
And now? What are my dreams? Have they remained the same or changed?
Let me share a story with you. In elementary school, I had a close friend. We went to school together, played together, and talked about our dreams. But one day, a big tragedy happened to her. Her mother suddenly passed away from cancer, and the doctors couldn't save her in time. Since that fateful day, my friend's spirit crumbled; she became quieter, more introverted, withdrawing from friends and the world. Witnessing this story from beginning to end, I had a thought at that time: 'What if, at that moment, the doctors could have saved her? Would her mother still be alive?' And with that, the dream of becoming a doctor began to grow over the years. I'm not sure if I can succeed, but one thing is certain: to pursue that dream, I will give my best, continually improving myself. Just thinking about the radiant smile of a healed patient gives me renewed energy.
Oh, let me add one more thing! After that day - the day we said goodbye to my friend's mother, I returned and threw myself into my parents' arms, crying uncontrollably. I don't know why, but at that moment, I wished time could slow down so I could stay by my parents' side forever, enjoying family meals, sharing the joys and sorrows of a tiring day of work. The storm seemed to stop right behind the door!
Reflecting now, if someone were to ask about your dreams, I wouldn't hesitate to answer that my dream is FAMILY and DOCTOR.
That's my dream, what about yours?
