1. Writing a letter to inquire about former teachers, sample 1:
Viet Tri City, November 25, 2021.
Dear Ms. Yen, with affectionate memories,
I am Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh, a 3rd-grade student of yours, the 'little pepper' student, as you fondly call me. In 5th grade, I was elected as the class vice president responsible for the academic affairs of 5B under Mr. Ngoc's supervision. On behalf of 24 former classmates from 3C, now studying in 5B, I send our regards and wish you good health.
This year's Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 2005) at our school was truly festive. Many former teachers and students attended the lively ceremony. We eagerly anticipated your presence and hoped to reunite with you after more than two years of separation. Sadly, we were disappointed as we waited in vain for your return and attendance. Later, Mr. Thuyet, Ms. Minh, and Mr. Ngoc informed us that you moved to Da Nang to live with your son and grandson, as your health was not good, requiring surgery for a tumor. We only wish for your speedy recovery and a joyful life among family and your beloved students.
Ms. Yen! The image of you with a gracious face, a gentle voice, and boundless love... you have left profound and touching memories in our hearts. Your teachings during writing and spelling lessons, 'The strokes of the pen reflect one's character,' are etched deep within us forever. Huân's mother, Quang's grandmother, Thinh's father... still recall moments with you, especially when seeking comfort in the hospital. My grandfather often shares stories about you with immense appreciation. He extends his regards to you and your family.
Once again, on behalf of my fellow former classmates from 3C, I extend heartfelt wishes for your abundant health; may your entire family encounter much luck and happiness.
We promise you, dear teacher, to engrave deeply the teachings and encourage excellence in our studies. The old school environment still cherishes memories of you. The city of Viet Tri still remembers you. The younger generation still holds you in their hearts. We only hope that one day soon, we can welcome you back to visit the school and your affectionate young students.
With respect,
Nguyen Thi Hong Hanh Grade 4A Viet Tri Elementary School
Dear Mr. Hoang, with utmost respect!
Today marks the 20th of November, Vietnamese Teacher's Day. After attending the gratitude ceremony at school, on my way home, thoughts of you crossed my mind. Hence, upon reaching home, I hastily penned this letter to convey my wishes and inquiries to you.
How are you doing these days, sir? Are the students in this year's class well-behaved? Is your teaching work at school still stable? And I presume, Ms. Bich from your household must have successfully entered the university she aspired to, hasn't she? Only little Kien is about to enter elementary school soon, isn't he, sir? I sincerely wish your family always happiness and joy.
As for me, I'm doing very well, sir. As I advance in my studies, the knowledge grows, and the assignments become more challenging. Sometimes, I feel like giving up, but remembering your teachings, the things you've advised me all these days, I persist. Over the past few years, I have consistently been an excellent student, thanks to your guidance, sir. In the upcoming days, I will study even harder to have the opportunity to study at the specialized school that I have always dreamed of. I will definitely strive for it!
The letter has been lengthy; I'll end my writing here. I wish you a joyful Vietnamese Teacher's Day, and may your career continue to prosper and flourish.
Your student, Lan.

3. Writing a letter to inquire about your former teacher, template 3:
Da Nang, March 08, 2021.
To dear Ms. Nga, my beloved teacher!
Today is International Women's Day, and I extend my heartfelt wishes to you for a meaningful and joyful March 8th.
Is everything well with you, ma'am? The other day, passing by the school, I caught a glimpse of you. I intended to call out to you, but it seemed you were busy with something, so I hesitated. On that day, seeing you, I recognized that you are still as beautiful and gentle as ever in the flowing green ao dai. The students in your homeroom class must be well-behaved and adorable, aren't they? I hope they are not mischievous and unruly like we used to be, or else you will be very tired, ma'am.
Time has passed so quickly, and I still can't believe I have left the loving embrace of your care. Everything seems like it happened just yesterday, the moments with you, friends, and the mix of joy and sorrow. Yet now, I am about to face the entrance exam for the specialized school. Will you wish me luck, ma'am? I will definitely give my best to not let down your teachings.
In closing, I wish you and your family good health. I wish you to become even more beautiful, and may your work become increasingly smooth.
Your student, Mai.

4. Write a letter inquiring about your former teacher, template 4:
Thanh Hoa, March 2, 2021
Dear Ms. Bich!
It's been a while since we last met, and with March 8 approaching, on this occasion, I am writing a letter to inquire about your daily life.
How have you been, ma'am? Is your health good? Do you still lose your voice scolding students? Is little Nghia attending kindergarten now? I assume Thang must be in the selective class, right? I'm still doing well in my studies. Remembering your advice, when faced with difficult exercises, I always persevere in thinking to find a solution. The classmates still fondly remember you; some have transferred to other classes, but the cherished images of you surely remain vivid in their minds. I still recall the familiar scenes of 1C class back then—the hesitant faces as they entered, your caring guidance for us, all vivid as I write this letter. The field trip during that school year is etched in my memory. There was a lost friend, and you were genuinely concerned. After a while, the friend was found, and though you scolded them, we understood it was for their good. Many other memorable moments abound that can't all be recounted.
The letter has grown lengthy, and I shall stop here. I wish you continued health to educate the students. I promise to study hard, not to let down your teaching.

5. Write a letter to your former teacher, template 5:
Hoa Binh, May 2, 2021
Dear Teacher!
I am your student from four years ago. Now, I am in the 5th grade, but the image of you on my first day in class is still vivid in my memory. Oh, how cherished that day was for me!
Today, on Vietnamese Teachers' Day—a day when we express our profound gratitude to our former teachers—I write this small letter to visit you and reminisce about some memories of your care for me and my classmates, memories that none of us can possibly forget.
First and foremost, I wish you and your family abundant health, always encountering favorable circumstances.
Dear teacher! Since being away from you, every day, I gain more understanding, clearly seeing the dedication of you and other teachers to us.
I vividly recall your figure leaning over stacks of papers when grading. I will never forget the first day of school, you welcoming me and leading me to join the line with my classmates in Class One A. I felt like a fledgling bird standing on the edge of the nest, looking at the vast sky, wanting to fly high but hesitating out of fear. You were the one who gave me wings to soar from that point on. Like me, all of us in Class One A were cared for by you from the very beginning. You taught us how to write, how to draw. You affectionately corrected our sitting posture, pen grip, reading tone, spelling... Oh, your contributions are immense, and we feel the need to study hard to repay that kindness.
Dear teacher! I have only these words to greet you. Once again, I wish you abundant health and happiness. I quietly hope that one day I will come to visit you. I will forever be your well-behaved student.
Your student

How have you been, ma'am? Is your back pain recurring? I recall when you were in pain and couldn't come to school, you diligently ate well for a speedy recovery. I cherish the times when we, teacher and students, used to share stories in our classroom. You were a motivator for me to strive for learning and personal development.
