As you can see, the Xiaomi 12T Pro is equipped with the most powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm to date. This chip features 8 cores and is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm process, with a clock speed of up to 3.0 GHz. Not only that, but the CPU and GPU of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 are optimized even further than previous generations. Having a device with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the sub-20 million VND segment makes it an outstanding product compared to many competitors.

In addition, the Xiaomi 12T Pro comes with a whopping 12 GB of RAM, which is excellent for an Android smartphone at the current time. However, Xiaomi also provides an additional 3 GB of virtual RAM to provide users with a smooth multitasking experience, minimizing lag. In my daily usage, I haven't encountered any annoying lag issues, showing that Xiaomi has optimized quite well!

Although the specifications of the Xiaomi 12T Pro are appealing, we still need some performance tests to verify the power of this phone and see if the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 overheats during everyday use! Without further ado, let's proceed to assess the performance of the Xiaomi 12T Pro to provide you with a more visual understanding of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip's capabilities.
Performance Assessment of Xiaomi 12T Pro
In this section, we'll use specialized performance assessment software such as GeekBench 5, 3Dmark, and PCMark to evaluate the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The conditions for assessment are as follows:
- The battery level must be between 90 - 100% (battery below 90% will affect the device's performance and results).
- No charging while performing the assessment.
- Three consecutive assessments will be conducted, and the average result after three assessments will be taken.

First, in the GeekBench 5 and PCMark software, the results we obtained were quite remarkable, slightly outperforming some devices in the same range. These scores are appropriate for a smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 in the near-premium segment like the Xiaomi 12T Pro. The specific results are as follows:
- GeekBench 5:
- Single/Multi-Core Score: 1,285/4,369 points.
- GPU Compute: 6,319 points.
- PCMark: 12,576 points.

Next, I'll use the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme test to assess the graphics processing capability of the Xiaomi 12T Pro. As you can see in the image below, my Xiaomi 12T Pro achieved an outstanding total score compared to many other devices in the same segment, which is 2,760 points along with an average FPS of 16.50. Additionally, the temperature and battery life of the device remained unchanged during the test. Specifically, the temperature increased by 1 degree Celsius (from 34 degrees Celsius to 35 degrees Celsius), and the battery remained at 100%. This is truly a positive point that the device deserves to receive!

Finally, I'll utilize the most demanding test in this section, the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test. With its feature of automatically repeating 20 times, the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test will assess the stability of a device when operating for extended periods with heavy tasks (such as video editing, gaming, etc.). Will the Xiaomi 12T Pro continue to maintain its performance? You can see the results below and pay attention to help me assess the Stability level!

As you can see above, the Xiaomi 12T Pro couldn't complete this demanding test entirely. During the assessment, I observed that the device abruptly stopped after the 13th iteration. Similar to the notification above, the Xiaomi 12T Pro indeed became very hot after performing this test, which could be due to Xiaomi's inadequate optimization. This issue might be addressed in the future with some software updates!

Although the performance score of the Xiaomi 12T Pro fell short of my initial expectations, these are just reference numbers! During my daily usage with various tasks, including heavy gaming, the Xiaomi 12T Pro only slightly warms up, so there's no need to worry too much!
Xiaomi 12T Pro gaming without overheating worries
In this section, I'll load four familiar games: Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Call Of Duty, and Genshin Impact, to see if the Xiaomi 12T Pro performs well! To maximize the device's performance, I'll also activate Game Turbo mode.

Simultaneously, I also used the Perfdog software to measure the FPS of each game. You can find all related data here for reference!

- Arena of Valor
Starting with the first game that almost every smartphone can run and is also the national mobile game of Vietnam - Arena of Valor. With a powerhouse like the Xiaomi 12T Pro, I confidently push all the graphics settings of the game to the highest level for an amazing experience.
With the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, Arena of Valor remains a relatively simple game. The Xiaomi 12T Pro achieves incredibly high stability with FPS up to 61.4. Throughout my Rank climbing journey, the device experienced no overheating or lag issues. Additionally, character details in the game are vividly reproduced, and the device's speakers are very loud, providing clear game sounds, creating a heroic and exhilarating atmosphere.
- PUBG Mobile
Next up is the renowned survival shooter game - PUBG Mobile, known for its heavy graphics demand due to processing large image volumes. With the Xiaomi 12T Pro, I was able to push the graphics settings to nearly the highest level, Ultra HD. However, the frame rate I achieved only reached the very high level (40 FPS). If you prefer smoother touch gestures and aren't overly concerned about image quality, you can reduce the graphics to HDR to achieve Extreme FPS (60 FPS).
During survival, I'm genuinely satisfied with the game as it achieves near-perfect stability with a frame rate of 40 FPS, just like my initial settings. Throughout gameplay, all my actions on the Xiaomi 12T Pro remain smooth and seamless, encountering no difficulties. Especially during intense battles, the device remains stable, and the temperature only slightly increases.
- Call Of Duty Mobile
Next up is the fast-paced shooter - Call Of Duty Mobile. In this game, I confidently set the graphics to the maximum level achievable by the device. You can also adjust the FPS to Ultra, but it compromises image quality, so I believe the graphics set to Very High and frame rate to Max is the optimal choice!

In this game, I have nothing to complain about! The Xiaomi 12T Pro delivers rapid response times when performing actions like weapon switching, moving, running, jumping, sliding, etc. Especially during intense combat, the device doesn't experience any lag, with an average frame rate of 60.7 FPS.
- Genshin Impact
Finally, the game known as the 'tyrant' of smartphones, even challenging higher-end devices, is Genshin Impact. With a high-end device like the Xiaomi 12T Pro, equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 from Qualcomm, I pushed the graphics to the highest level the device could handle. You can see the results in the image below!
The results exceeded expectations as the Xiaomi 12T Pro achieved an average FPS of 59.4. This number is nearly perfect, posing a challenge even for premium smartphones. Throughout gameplay, I encountered only a few minor stutters that did not significantly impact the overall experience. Especially noteworthy is that during extended play sessions, the device only warmed up slightly, demonstrating the Xiaomi 12T Pro's ability to control temperature and the performance of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
Summing up the gaming experience, I'm truly satisfied with what the Xiaomi 12T Pro offers, even surpassing initial expectations. The device can handle all games on the market well, even the formidable Genshin Impact, without any difficulties. Xiaomi deserves praise for optimizing both hardware and software on these devices released in this batch due to their stable performance and cool temperatures.
Xiaomi 12T Pro with a 5,000 mAh battery provides usage time of over 8 hours, and its 120W fast charging is excellent
To give you a more realistic view of the battery life of the Xiaomi 12T Pro, I also conducted a test combining various continuous tasks. The conditions of this test are as follows:
- Experience of 4 rotating tasks including: Playing Liên Quân Mobile (graphics settings as in the game test), watching YouTube, browsing Facebook, and using Chrome.
- Rotate using each task for 1 hour.
- Screen brightness 100% and high refresh rate set to 120 Hz.
- Turn on external speaker and adjust volume to 50%.
- Turn on WiFi and social media notifications.
- Turn off battery saver mode, adaptive screen, GPS, and Bluetooth.
- Test conducted from 100% battery charge to 0%.
The test results are as follows:

As you can see above, the Xiaomi 12T Pro provides continuous usage time of up to 8 hours and 5 minutes, which is slightly lower compared to the Xiaomi 11T Pro (8 hours 36 minutes in the Xiaomi 11T Pro review after 6 months of release). This may disappoint some people, but since this is a new device, the operating system has not been fully optimized yet, especially the game Liên Quân Mobile which has just been updated to a new version, so most phones have not been optimized. Therefore, playing Liên Quân Mobile will consume quite a bit of power, which will be addressed in the near future.

With this result, I confidently say that Xiaomi 12T Pro can still serve you throughout a busy workday with various tasks. Partly because I believe Xiaomi 12T Pro is undergoing a rather heavy test from Mytour, so the depletion rate may be faster than usual. However, even if the battery runs out, Xiaomi 12T Pro will quickly recover with its incredibly powerful 120W fast charging capability. In the price range under 20 million VND, owning fast charging with such high power is something not every smartphone can offer. So how fast does Xiaomi 12T Pro charge? Let's find out together!

According to the results, Xiaomi 12T Pro can fully charge from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes. This figure is slightly lower than what I thought about 120W fast charging. The device can reach 55% in 15 minutes and gradually increase by about 10 - 12% every 5 minutes thereafter. It shows that when the device reaches halfway, it will automatically adjust the charging speed to ensure battery life and avoid the phone from heating up too quickly, causing some unfortunate incidents. This can be seen as Xiaomi's way of protecting users from unfortunate accidents caused by battery charging. However, this is still a very fast charging speed for people to continuously maintain their work seamlessly.
How long does Xiaomi 12T Pro's 5,000 mAh battery last when gaming?
To answer the above question, I conducted a battery test on Xiaomi 12T Pro under specific conditions as follows:
- Play a single game until the device runs out of battery (from 100% to 0%).
- Screen brightness set to 100%, with 120 Hz refresh rate enabled.
- External speaker turned on with volume set to 50%.
- Wi-Fi enabled with social media notifications.
- No battery saving mode, gaming assistance, adaptive screen, GPS, or Bluetooth.
- Monitoring from 100% to 0% since unplugging the device.
Here are the results I obtained:

- Liên Quân Mobile: 5 hours 58 minutes.
- Genshin Impact: 3 hours 33 minutes.
- PUBG Mobile: 6 hours 30 minutes.
- Call Of Duty Mobile: 5 hours 09 minutes.
You can see, all the games can run continuously for a fairly good amount of time, with the most notable being both Liên Quân Mobile and PUBG Mobile, which both provide an average playtime of 6 hours. It seems that the graphics settings I applied to these two games are quite optimized. As for Genshin Impact, perhaps due to my settings pushing Xiaomi 12T Pro to operate at high intensity continuously, the energy consumption time is considerably higher. These figures are for reference only, as you may achieve higher numbers with truly reasonable graphics settings!
How much does Xiaomi 12T Pro cost? Is it worth buying?
Currently, the price of Xiaomi 12T Pro at Mytour is 16.99 million VND (may vary depending on promotions). With a device boasting premium and contemporary design, powerful performance that can rival or even surpass current flagship models, strong battery for long-term usage, the price of less than 17 million VND is indeed a great deal. Not to mention the device's 200 MP camera cluster for detailed and sharp image quality, and the impressive 120W fast charging, these are key factors to consider when investing in this 'gem'!
