As mentioned at the beginning of the article, performance is the key highlight of Xiaomi 13 Pro as it is one of the first smartphones in Vietnam to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. This is Qualcomm's most powerful processor at the current time, enabling Xiaomi 13 Pro to handle all tasks smoothly.

Now, let's validate the prowess of Xiaomi 13 Pro through the performance scoring section below!
Performance Score of Xiaomi 13 Pro
As with every smartphone performance review conducted by 24h Technology before, I will assess the performance of Xiaomi 13 Pro using dedicated software such as GeekBench 6, 3DMark, and PCMark. The conditions for my assessment are as follows:
- The device battery must be between 90 - 100% (battery below 90% may affect the device's performance and results).
- Do not charge the battery while conducting the assessment.
- Conduct 3 consecutive assessments and take the average result after 3 assessments.

First up is GeekBench 6, and here are the results I obtained:
- Single-core/Multi-core: 1,402 points/5,026 points.
- GPU Compute (OpenCL): 5,066 points.
- GPU Compute (Vulkan): 2,880 points.

As you can see in the figure above, Xiaomi 13 Pro has delivered outstanding results in the single-core/multi-core test, indicating that the CPU processing speed in this phone is truly impressive. For the GPU Compute OpenCL and Vulkan tests, the results achieved by Xiaomi 13 Pro are also impressive, although the Vulkan test seems to be not optimally tailored for this smartphone yet.
Next, in the PCMark test, Xiaomi 13 Pro still achieved a very impressive score of 14,939 points. Based on my experience with some previous smartphones also using Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the result achieved by Xiaomi 13 Pro in this test surpasses many.

Let's move on to the light graphics test called 3DMark Wild Life Extreme. As you can see in the image below, Xiaomi 13 Pro achieved a total score of 2,992 points with an average FPS of 17.9. These are still very impressive numbers compared to some competitors in the same segment. During the scoring process, both the temperature and the battery of Xiaomi 13 Pro remained unchanged (still at 96% battery and 38°C).

Now, let's move on to the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test, the most demanding test in this scoring section. For those who don't know, this test will automatically repeat 20 times to check the stability of the phone when performing heavy tasks such as video editing, gaming, etc. Please pay attention to the Stability factor as it is the most important factor in this test.

After completing the test, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Xiaomi 13 Pro achieved a stability level of 99.7%, an unbelievable result for a phone equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. This demonstrates that the manufacturer has optimized Xiaomi 13 Pro's performance very well, enabling the device to handle heavy tasks consistently over a long period of time.

One downside is that both the temperature and battery percentage of Xiaomi 13 Pro experienced significant changes. Specifically, the battery dropped by 10% (from 96% to 86%) and the temperature increased by 9 degrees Celsius (from 38°C to 47°C). This is understandable as the screen of Xiaomi 13 Pro remained continuously on during the test, and most competitors in the same segment also face similar issues.
Xiaomi 13 Pro delivers incredibly smooth gaming experiences, especially with Genshin Impact.
Many of you may wonder how gaming on Xiaomi 13 Pro feels like, right? To answer that question, I've downloaded four popular games including Arena of Valor, Call Of Duty Mobile, and Genshin Impact. Additionally, I've used Perfdog software to record the FPS of each game and related data, which you can find here for your reference!

Oh, almost forgot, to ensure the best gaming experience on Xiaomi 13 Pro, I've also activated the Performance mode in Battery settings and enabled the Game Turbo feature.

- Arena of Valor
In basic games like Arena of Valor, Xiaomi 13 Pro handles it effortlessly with graphics set to the highest level. Some may wonder why Xiaomi 13 Pro doesn't play Arena of Valor at 120 FPS; I think it's because this game hasn't been optimized for Xiaomi's latest flagship yet.
However, I'm very satisfied with the Arena of Valor experience on Xiaomi 13 Pro, with an average frame rate of 61.9 FPS. This ensures smooth gameplay without frame drops.
- Call Of Duty Mobile
Moving on to the fast-paced shooting game Call Of Duty Mobile, I can still adjust the in-game graphics to the highest settings with Xiaomi 13 Pro. Especially, the device allows me to set the frame rate to Ultra, equivalent to 90 FPS (applicable only in Multiplayer mode).
Since I usually prioritize frame rate when playing shooting games, I highly appreciate Xiaomi 13 Pro's ability to push FPS in Call Of Duty Mobile to Ultra level. In terms of experience, I have nothing to complain about as the device smoothly handles all frames and actions in the game, with an average frame rate of 89.1 FPS. Additionally, I find that Xiaomi 13 Pro reproduces images in the game relatively well, without losing too many details.
- PUBG Mobile
Moving on to PUBG Mobile, Xiaomi 13 Pro can still handle the game with graphics settings at the highest level effortlessly. However, as I mentioned earlier, I always prioritize frame rate when playing shooting games, so I reduce the graphics in PUBG Mobile from UltraHD (left side) to HDR (right side).
Nevertheless, that doesn't mean the image quality in the game will deteriorate; on the contrary, I find Xiaomi 13 Pro still vividly reproduces the details in the game. Additionally, the device delivers a very stable average frame rate of 58 FPS.
- Genshin Impact
For the last game, Genshin Impact, Xiaomi 13 Pro still allows me to set the graphics to the highest level. What surprises me the most is that the device can maintain an average frame rate of about 61 FPS, which is significantly higher than many Android flagships currently.
Regarding the Genshin Impact experience on Xiaomi 13 Pro, I noticed frame drops or heating issues still occur after about 10 - 15 minutes of gameplay. However, I find this does not significantly affect the overall experience.
I believe that the performance of Xiaomi 13 Pro is not only due to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 but also because Xiaomi has optimized the MIUI 14 interface integrated into this phone. Sharing a quick experience with MIUI 14, I personally think that the software's smoothness has been improved compared to the previous generation Xiaomi 12 Pro (which was too hot and did not provide the best experience for users).
Xiaomi 13 Pro with a 4,820 mAh battery can handle long gaming sessions
In this section, I'll continue playing the 4 aforementioned games: Arena of Valor, PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, and Genshin Impact consecutively to see how long the 4,820 mAh battery of Xiaomi 13 Pro can last. The conditions of the test are as follows:
- Play each game continuously until the device runs out of battery.
- Set screen brightness to 100% and enable 120 Hz refresh rate.
- Turn on external speakers and set volume to 50%.
- Enable Wi-Fi and social media notifications.
- Do not enable battery saver mode, adaptive display, GPS, and Bluetooth.
- Start measuring from 100% battery charge until 0%.
- Game Turbo mode is activated to enhance device performance.
The results obtained are as follows:

- Genshin Impact: 3 hours 20 minutes.
- Arena of Valor: 4 hours 41 minutes.
- Call Of Duty Mobile: 5 hours 03 minutes.
- PUBG Mobile: 5 hours 12 minutes
The results indicate that Xiaomi 13 Pro has better endurance with PUBG Mobile (5 hours 12 minutes) and Call Of Duty Mobile (5 hours 03 minutes). However, with Genshin Impact, the device consumes more battery due to handling higher frame rates, animations, and running the game at the highest graphics settings. Overall, Xiaomi 13 Pro with its 4,820 mAh battery should still meet the gaming needs of most users who don't heavily engage in gaming. For hardcore gamers, Xiaomi's flagship might not be the ideal choice.

However, it's essential to note that the evaluation conditions are more rigorous than real-world usage. Therefore, your actual gaming time may be longer. Also, these results are indicative and may vary based on device settings, in-game configurations, usage conditions, and other environmental factors.
