Similar to the recently unveiled Xiaomi 13T series, these devices will receive 4 generations of Android updates and 5 years of security patches. Unfortunately, the new software policy does not apply to older Xiaomi smartphones. The company has now ceased support for the Mi 10T and X3 series.

Xiaomi has a dedicated page on its website for End of Life (EOL) devices. According to Kacper Skrzypek, the company has added the following devices to the list, thereby discontinuing software support for them:
- Mi 10T
- Mi 10T Pro
- POCO X3
The above three smartphones were launched in the second half of 2020. Therefore, their software support will end after 3 years, following the company's old policy. They were released with MIUI 12 based on Android 10. Currently, they are running MIUI 14 based on Android 12. In other words, over the past three years, these smartphones have received two Android and MIUI updates.
The good news is that Xiaomi has extended software support to 4 years for some selected devices released from 2021 onwards and up to 5 years for some phones from 2023. However, the update policy mainly applies to flagship phones, unlike , the company provides similar support for mid-range and budget smartphones.
