Xiaomi recently introduced the Xiaomi Mi 10S, the first smartphone to feature the Snapdragon 870. Despite the debut of the Xiaomi Mi 11, it was unexpected that the Mi 10 series would not fade away; instead, the Mi 10S emerges as the latest addition to the Mi 10 lineup.
Xiaomi Mi 10S is unveiled in China with a design highly reminiscent of the Mi 10 Ultra, featuring an extensive and long camera module. Details about the camera setup reveal that the Mi 10S will feature a primary 108MP camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and two 2MP cameras, one for macro shots and one for depth sensing.
Mi 10S features a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is HDR10+ certified and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The design of the Mi 10S display resembles most contemporary phone displays with a hole-punch design and slightly curved edges. Above and below the display are stereo speakers tuned by Harman/Kardon.Mi 10S boasts impressive specs including the Snapdragon 870 SoC, Qualcomm's latest chipset offering performance close to the Snapdragon 888. It's essentially an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 865+ with higher clock speeds. The device offers LPDDR5 RAM options of 8GB or 12GB, up to 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.With a 4780mAh battery supporting 33W fast wired and wireless charging, as well as 10W reverse charging, Mi 10S ensures long-lasting usage. It runs MIUI 12 based on Android 11. The starting price is $506 for the 8GB/128GB variant. Notably, the device won't include a charger in the box, but early buyers will receive a complimentary 33W charger.
