Xiaomi POCO C50 Budget-Friendly Variant Set for Launch on January 3rd

In June, Xiaomi unveiled the new POCO C40 smartphone at a notably affordable price. Last month, the company announced plans to introduce the successor to this phone in the last week of November.

However, this plan has been postponed, and according to the latest information from 91mobiles, it will debut on January 3rd in India.

Unfortunately, the report didn't disclose the technical specifications of the C50. However, based on previous leaks, this phone is expected to launch in India with model number 220733SPI. A similar device has also surfaced in the Google Play Console listings, hinting that the POCO C50 could be a variant of the Redmi A1+.

Therefore, it's highly likely that the successor to the POCO C40 will come with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD display with HD+ resolution. It may feature a 5-megapixel front camera and an 8-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The phone could come pre-installed with the Android 12 operating system.

Furthermore, the POCO C50 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio A22 chip, with options for 2GB or 3GB of RAM, and users will have 32GB of internal storage for data. Other rumored features of this smartphone include a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a microSD card slot.
