According to a recent report, Xiaomi seems poised to continue its usage of the advanced 1-inch camera sensor in its flagship Xiaomi 14 lineup. Additionally, the highly anticipated 1.33-inch sensor is currently in the research and development phase.

However, renowned leaker Digital Chat Station suggests that with a 35mm focal length and superior algorithmic enhancements, it may surpass certain aspects of the 1-inch sensor.

The Xiaomi 14 will feature a 1-inch camera sensor

First introduced on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra in late 2022, the Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor marked a significant breakthrough in OPPO and vivo smartphones. In fact, Xiaomi currently leads in the number of phones equipped with a primary 1-inch camera sensor. Furthermore, Sony and Sharp have also integrated the 1-inch sensor into their devices.
