This announcement was made through one of Xiaomi's Twitter accounts, accompanied by an advertising poster revealing the upcoming in-ear headphones.
Xiaomi will introduce Redmi Buds 5 on September 21As seen from the poster, Redmi Buds 5 features a distinct design from its predecessor, Redmi Buds 4. Instead of an oval-shaped charging case like the previous generation, Xiaomi's new earphones have a rectangular charging case, and the Buds 5 have an elongated stem.
The advertising poster also discloses that Xiaomi's upcoming earphones will feature 46dB active noise cancellation and will be available in three colors: Purple, Black, and White. It will also have a 2kHz noise reduction range and the dual AI microphones for noise reduction during calls.
Comparing with its predecessor, Xiaomi's Redmi Buds 4 had 35dB active noise cancellation with 3 ANC levels. Additionally, these earphones featured dual microphones with AI noise reduction for calls and a 10mm dynamic driver. Redmi Buds 4 could play music for up to 30 hours on a single charge, with each earbud extending usage by 6 hours. They also supported fast charging, providing 1 hour of usage with just 5 minutes of charging.
It's highly likely that Redmi Buds 5, set to be launched soon, will incorporate all these features, along with enhanced active noise cancellation compared to its predecessor. Let's eagerly await for more details!
