Yamaha has officially introduced the new R15 V4 in the Indian market. The bike is available in two variants: the standard R15 V4 and the R15 M edition. Similar to previously leaked images, the bike inherits many design cues from the recently launched Yamaha R7.At the front, the bike impresses with bold angular lines, featuring a centrally positioned bi-LED headlight, a hallmark Yamaha R-Series LED daytime running lights. The entire body of the bike is aerodynamically sculpted. The rear end of the bike sports a new taillight design inspired by the Yamaha R1 model.
Upgrades on the bike include a striking gold-colored inverted front fork, ABS for both front and rear wheels. The speedometer features a monochrome LCD similar to the new Yamaha R3, displaying comprehensive information and offering smartphone connectivity for call and message notifications, as well as phone battery status.
Apart from color and decal variations, the Yamaha R15 M adds traction control and a quick shifter as standard features. It also boasts a custom-designed seat and Bybre brake calipers. The Yamaha R15 V4 is equipped with a VVA liquid-cooled engine, delivering a maximum power of 18 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and a peak torque of 14.2Nm at 7,500 rpm.
The R15 V4 continues to utilize a Deltabox frame and aluminum swingarm, weighing 142 kg wet, with a seat height of 815 mm. It is available in three colors: red, black, blue, and the R15 M version comes in two color options. In India, the standard version is priced over 52 lakh, with the R15 M variant nearing 55 lakh.
