The land of Yemen is adorned with numerous ancient architectural marvels and boasts a richly diverse cultural heritage spanning thousands of years.
Yemen - Unraveling the Mysteries

Situated predominantly amidst mountains and deserts at the southernmost tip of the Arabian Peninsula, Yemen may lack natural resources but is abundant in cultural richness, history, and breathtaking natural landscapes. Despite being an Islamic nation, Yemen's independent tradition sets its society apart from neighboring countries.
Yemen is geographically divided into three distinct regions: the coastal plain, mountainous region, and desert. The majority of Yemenis are Arab and adhere to Islam. The western region, characterized by a scorching climate, results in darker skin tones among the populace and thatched roof dwellings.

Behind this coastal plain lie mountain ranges and plateaus, the exclusive domain of Yemen's tribes. Extending to the borders with Saudi Arabia to the north and the Gulf of Aden to the south, these tribes dominate Yemen's landscape. The capital, Sana'a, is nestled within a small valley amidst these mountain ranges.
Perched at an altitude of over 2,300 meters above sea level, Sana'a is the largest city in the Western Asian nation of Yemen, the heart of the Sana'a region, and one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world.

Recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site, the buildings in the city are constructed in a distinctive architectural style, adorned with characteristic geometric patterns, standing out against the red walls, creating a mystical painting under the twilight.

Similar to other Islamic nations, Yemen is also a land dominated by men. Women here almost exclusively dedicate their time to each other, hence eventually they only speak a dialect that outsiders find difficult to comprehend.
They only allow close men to see their faces, refraining from working or driving. The majority of women here dress in black from head to toe, only leaving a small slit to reveal their deep black eyes.
