For years, TikTok has been adding its logo watermark to videos as a means of copyright marking and to help users identify downloaded content from the platform.
In an effort to compete with TikTok, Instagram Reels, owned by Meta, has taken another step forward. Instagram has announced that its platform's algorithm will block content and videos containing watermark logos from other platforms and apps.
The logo watermark on YouTube Shorts will begin rolling out in the coming weeks for the PC platform first and will expand to mobile platforms in the coming months.
When accessing YouTube on your computer, if you don't like YouTube Shorts, you can hide it. Check out how to hide YouTube Shorts videos here.
