(Motherland) - Zeus shares T1's victory with the assistance of player Burdol.
In the Quarterfinal match against Royal Never Give Up at the 2022 World Championship, T1 achieved an impressively convincing victory. Not only did they completely dismantle the LPL representatives, but Faker and his teammates also displayed excellent form. Based on their performance against RNG, many League of Legends (LoL) fans are confident that T1 will be one of the strongest contenders for this year's Worlds championship.
One of the most crucial factors in T1's recent string of victories is undoubtedly Zeus. Not only at Worlds 2022, but from the beginning of the season until now, Zeus has shown remarkably impressive performance despite this being his first official season. Because of Zeus's significance, RNG continuously targeted his position, especially in the second match of the Quarterfinals series.
In the second match, Zeus used the champion Jayce to confront Breathe's Fiora from RNG. Notably, Zeus frequently had to play defensively against a stronger champion while receiving consistent assistance from his teammates. However, towards the end of the match, Zeus's Jayce remained one of the most significant damage dealers on both teams, even nearly doubling RNG's Fiora.
In the post-match interview, Zeus shared that Burdol from DWG KIA (DK) helped him practice for facing Fiora. Zeus stated: 'Before the (Quarterfinals) series began, I asked Burdol to help me practice. Burdol is my close friend, and he has played Fiora extensively. So, I experimented with many champions to confront Fiora. While many champions can face Fiora besides Jayce, I am most confident with Jayce. Therefore, I decided to choose Jayce'.
Zeus also acknowledges that Breathe is truly exceptional and posed many challenges throughout the match. While Zeus was initially confident, he became increasingly surprised by Breathe's abilities as the match progressed. 'Fortunately, my teammates played well and extended the match long enough for me to reach my power threshold,' Zeus shared.
In the upcoming match, Zeus along with T1 will face JD Gaming, a much stronger opponent than RNG. Zeus himself will encounter 369 - a remarkably talented player from the current LPL. It will be an incredibly tough match, and the duel between Zeus and 369 could very well determine the outcome.
