When it comes to the most dominant jungle heroes in the 2023 Season 3, names like Paine or Keera often reign supreme, frequently seen in professional tournaments. However, compared to these top picks, D'arcy and Zill seem somewhat lackluster and fail to make a significant impression. But are these two heroes truly out of the meta?
In terms of burst damage potential or overall strength, D'arcy and Zill hold up decently, but they find themselves overshadowed by many similar heroes, susceptible to being countered and outmaneuvered. Agility Rating
Zill: Known for his remarkable agility, Zill in Arena of Valor possesses the ability to swiftly navigate terrain with his second ability - Spectral Strike, allowing him to rapidly approach or retreat from targets. Additionally, he boasts an innate ability called Tempest, which, when activated, immediately resets his second ability, enabling him to seamlessly engage or disengage.

D’arcy: D’arcy's agility is not highly regarded. His first ability - Quantum Leap only increases running speed by 20%, which is mediocre compared to other heroes of similar nature. The Matrix also helps D’arcy quickly advance to a designated point, but only upon successfully hitting a target can he reuse his abilities.

Clearly, Zill's agility surpasses D’arcy in every aspect. The synergy between Zill's innate ability and his second skill forms an incredibly powerful combo, allowing him to continuously spam abilities thanks to his innate, making him extremely versatile. Meanwhile, D’arcy relies solely on his first ability for increased running speed, with his ultimate having a lengthy cooldown. Moreover, although D’arcy can advance to a designated point upon hitting a target, it's challenging for him to retreat easily, especially in cases where he fails to defeat the enemy.Zill 8/10; D’arcy 6.5/10.
Annoyance Factor
Zill: Zill's annoyance factor lies in his ability to continuously spam abilities by leveraging his innate. With Zill's fast ability cooldowns, he can constantly chip away at enemies' health, creating immense annoyance for the opposing team lineup. Additionally, he possesses a 20% slowing mechanism from his first ability, enough to approach targets as he's inherently agile.

D’arcy: The Matrix, D’arcy's most annoying ability, is also the hallmark of his kit. It has the capability to force affected targets to return to their original positions, causing distress for any agile heroes caught in its grasp. This ability also mildly stuns targets, making it easier for D’arcy to engage opponents. Furthermore, his first and enhanced first abilities have a mechanism that grants immunity to being selected as targets, aiding this Arena of Valor hero in both engaging and disengaging.

When it comes to annoyance factor, D’arcy undoubtedly takes the lead as he possesses a set of abilities with the most unique mechanisms ever seen.Zill 6/10; D’arcy 8.5/10.
Farming Ability
Zill: When Zill's innate ability is activated, not only does he regenerate his second skill, but he also unleashes a massive burst of damage, allowing this hero to farm exceptionally well. Moreover, Zill's abilities have very fast cooldowns, enabling him to continuously spam skills and his innate.

D’arcy: The Quantum Cube is D’arcy's most powerful ability. It acts as a timed explosive, dealing tremendous damage upon detonation, enabling D’arcy to farm very rapidly. Additionally, he can leverage additional damage from his enhanced abilities.
Overall, both Arena of Valor heroes have excellent farming capabilities. Zill is one of the fastest jungle farmers if he knows how to utilize his innate and skills effectively. As for D’arcy, his immense damage output can swiftly dispatch monsters, and his wide range of abilities allows him to attack multiple monsters simultaneously, further enhancing his farming potential.Zill 8/10; D’arcy 8/10.
Burst Damage Potential
Zill: Being an Assassin by nature, Zill's burst damage potential is highly regarded. With just one combo, he can quickly burst down a low-health target. Spectral Strike is his most powerful damage-dealing ability, allowing continuous attacks 5 times, during which Zill becomes immune to being selected as a target, avoiding all damage, giving this Arena of Valor hero more time to take down his prey.
When activated, Zill's Tempest innate ability unleashes a massive burst of magic damage. When combined with his ability to spam skills, Zill can undoubtedly deal an enormous amount of damage in combat.

D’arcy: D’arcy's burst damage potential is arguably his strongest asset. His Quantum Cube ability is the primary source of damage, especially with its wide range and ability to hit multiple targets simultaneously, making D’arcy extremely formidable in dealing damage. Particularly in skirmishes where opponents gather in groups of 3 or 4, D’arcy can quickly inflict damage on multiple targets simultaneously, putting immense pressure on the enemy team.
Additionally, his first ability - Quantum Leap, is also formidable. After using this ability, D’arcy's basic attacks are enhanced, and the damage output from these attacks is also very potent. Furthermore, with a full set of equipment, this ability can easily take down a squishy hero with less than 2/3 of their health.

Both of these Arena of Valor heroes possess exceptional burst damage potential, but it seems that D’arcy has a slight edge. With his ability to attack multiple targets simultaneously, D’arcy can quickly burst down targets, whereas Zill's ultimate ability is limited, as the damage is evenly distributed among multiple targets or rendered ineffective against agile heroes who can easily evade it.Zill 8/10; D’arcy 9/10.
