With just a few simple steps, you can complete your permanent residence registration from home, saving time and effort. Below is the quick and convenient guide to online permanent residence registration, feel free to follow along.
How to register permanent residence online via the National Public Service Portal
Step 1: Log in to your Public Service account:
- Account provided by the National Public Service Portal.
- Alternatively, you can use your digital identity account.
Note: To complete the online permanent residence registration using a digital identity account, you must have a VNeID level 2 account. You can learn how to register for a level 2 digital identity account to ensure a smooth registration and process for other administrative procedures.
Step 2: Click on "Online Public Service".
Step 3: Under the section Featured Public Services, select "Register for Permanent Residence".
Step 4:Choose "Submit Online".
Step 5:Fill out the application form for permanent residence registration.
In the IMPLEMENTING AGENCY section, enter:
- The province/city where you currently reside, work, or study.
- District.
- Ward.
- The registration agency for residency.
In the REQUIRED ADMINISTRATIVE PROCEDURES section:
- For the Permanent Residence registration process, select "Register for a New Household" or "Register for Permanent Residence in an Existing Household" or "Vietnamese Citizens Living Abroad...".
- In case you choose "Register for Permanent Residence for the Whole Household" or "First-Time Permanent Residence Registration" or "Register for Permanent Residence of Household Members".
In the INFORMATION OF THE PERSON APPLYING FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE REGISTRATION section:
- Select the box labeled "The person filling out the form is the person registering for permanent residence" if the person providing the information is the one registering for permanent residence,
- Click the box labeled "Household declaration" if the person filling out the information is registering on behalf of the household.
In the section titled INFORMATION REQUESTED, fill in all necessary details including: the location of the permanent residence registration request; address; the head of household's name; the relationship to the head of household; ID number; and the content of the request.
In the section titled CIRCUMSTANCES AND ATTACHED DOCUMENTS, select the option that best matches your needs.
