Rapper Karik, whose real name is Phạm Hoàng Khoa, was born on April 12, 1989, in Hà Nam. He is a renowned Vietnamese rapper and professional musician. Karik rose to fame as the first Vietnamese rapper to win an MTV Vietnam award in 2011 and was later honored with the Vietnam Entertainment Awards' Artist of the Year award in 2021.
In 2010, Karik collaborated with Wowy to release the track 'Khu tao sống', which made waves in the Underground community. In 2012, they continued their successful partnership with the tracks 'Hai thế giới' and 'Chạy' (featuring LD), solidifying their unique sound as a duo. In 2011, Karik released the MV 'Rắc rối', which sarcastically mocked several showbiz artists and included controversial language. Surprisingly, it ranked high on the MTV Vietnam charts.
In 2020, Karik joined the Rap Việt program as a coach and achieved runner-up with contestant GDucky.
