3. Xi'an Jiaotong University
Xi'an Jiaotong University is one of the earliest higher education institutions in China, founded in 1896 as part of the Nanyang Public School in Shanghai. In 1921, it was renamed to Jiaotong University. In 1956, the Chinese State Council decided to relocate the university to Xi'an. In 2000, it merged with Xi'an Medical University and Shaanxi University of Finance and Economics.

4. Fudan University

6. Tianjin University
Tianjin University was established on October 2, 1895, and is recognized as the first modern university in China.
