Cool breeze from Dong Chau
Surrounded by the Tra Ly River
Far away, there is Thai Thuy
A poetic land
Thai Binh, my hometown
Many years of hardship
Many people suffering
Made this land heroic
After many years of war
We all went to the front lines
Providing rice and money
Sending them to the battlefield
To feed the army
All the people
Unified together
Now poverty is gone
Everyone is warm and content
No more worries about rice or money
Living peaceful lives
Every household is happy.

6. Thái Bình Oi
Thái Bình, a land with fewer people than its population count
The coastline is short, and rivers are few
Its resources are scarce, there’s not much to pursue
But farming remains the hope we all hold true.
The crops grow with struggles, day and night
The storms and floods bring sorrow and plight
There are no mountains or forests in sight
And wise people are rare, making things tight.
Every so often, I come back to stay
Feeling the love for my hometown, though the path is tough in every way
From this land, I left one day
But my childhood memories will never stray.
How I recall my mother’s sweet lullaby
And my father’s toil under the hot sun, never asking why
The bond between siblings, unbreakable, strong
While our parents cared for us all along.
Alone, I moved to Saigon, far from home
Yet Thái Bình, my love for you will always roam
After my sister married, and I left behind
The younger ones, I held close, joyful and kind.
As we grew, we went our separate ways
But my heart will always yearn for Thái Bình, through all my days
Oh Thái Bình, how dearly I miss you so!
Poem by: Nguyễn Thanh Ru

7. Thái Bình, My Homeland
I will return to visit your hometown, Thái Bình
Where the gentle breeze carries the scent of the land
Where rice fields stretch, and farmers toil with care
Where ancient poems whisper of storks in flight.
The Bùi family has braved the sun and rain
Sowing seeds in the fertile, salty soil
The salt fields, now pure, without a trace of residue
The golden rice fields seem to speak to all who pass by.
I will visit the weaving village in Phương La
And the beach at Đồng Châu, where the waves sparkle like jewels
I will hear the bell of Keo Pagoda, its sound forever resonating
And explore the eco-tourism of Cồn Vành - Cồn Đen...
I will visit the silver crafts of Đồng Xâm
The village of Hới’s mat weaving, softly beckoning
This poem serves as a voice, a tribute
To the everlasting fame of the Bùi family.
Poem by: Bùi NiNa

8. Hello, Girl from Thái Bình
Hello, girl from our hometown
Hello, girl with charm and grace
I have traveled many miles
But I still can't forget the homeland of Thái Bình.
Storks fly straight over our land
The green fields of rice are peaceful and calm
I have traveled far and wide
But our homeland is changing every day.
Plowing, sowing, and harvesting the crops
Hard work, but machines now replace the human touch
The village is blossoming, fresh and green
It feels like a city now, but with peaceful joy.
The Trà River winds through fertile fields
With the riverbanks nourishing the land, making it flourish
Who doesn't have a river in their heart?
To remember their childhood and the memories it holds.
Our land changes hour by hour
I return to weave the dreams of the past.
Poem by: Nam Nguyễn

9. The Warm Sun of My Hometown, Thái Bình
Come visit my homeland, my dear
Watch the sunset gently fall, like a dream
The Trà River flows along its shores
The waves at Đồng Châu whisper sweet poetry.
Be enchanted by the Phi Lao trees
The wind blows softly, singing a lullaby
The sky is clear, hiding the mist
The scent of the fields wafts through the gentle autumn sun.
The boat waits patiently for guests to arrive
The woven mats invite you to rest
The grand festival at Chùa Keo fills the air with joy
At Đồng Xâm, the art of silverwork shines brightly.
The endless fields of rice and mulberry trees
Flax and rushes grow year-round, my friend
Local girls are graceful and kind
Come visit, and you'll surely miss it when you leave.
The warmth of human kindness and hospitality
Don’t hesitate, come visit, my friend
My homeland opens its heart wide
Waiting for you, with open arms, with endless longing!
Poem by: Song Linh

10. I Want to Be the Daughter-in-Law of the Rice Fields
I want to return to the rice fields with you, my love
Where the young rice sways gently in the fresh breeze
The scent of ripening rice drifts softly in the air
It’s so light, yet it captivates my heart.
I love you, and my feelings won’t ever change
I give you all my heart and soul
Even if one day your heart turns away from mine,
This heart of mine will forever belong to you.
I wish that time wouldn’t pass so quickly
So I could truly understand the meaning of love
I wish for a life without turmoil or regret,
So that I could love only you, forever.
Poem by: Kiều Trang

11. The Rice Affection
Returning to the rice fields of Thái Bình
My heart is full of the love and warmth of this place
With your hair flowing, lips red, and cheeks glowing
You’ve made me, a wanderer, fall completely in love.
The pink clouds drift lazily in the sky
Beside you, I sit in silence, lost in thought
Who will come here to Vũ Thư
And truly understand the deep connection of the rice fields?
The sun’s rays tilt across the sky
It feels as if all of it has found its way into your eyes
Oh rain, don’t be cruel enough to fall
Or else, someone may end up drenched in tears!
Oh flowers, stay bright and beautiful
So that the world’s sorrow may fade away
Don’t bloom too quickly and fade too soon
Or else, someone will be left weeping.
My heart quietly whispers
Thái Bình, the rice fields... I’ve truly fallen for you!

12. Come Back to the Rice Fields
Will you come to my rice fields with me?
In my village, the blooming flowers shine bright,
The breeze flows gently, like a breath of warmth,
Thái Bình gleams with the glow of spring’s light.
Will anyone join me in Quỳnh Phụ?
This land is full of endless love and care,
In my town, mulberry trees weave their charm,
The scent of my woven hats fills the air.
Will anyone pass by Trà Lý, where the waves constantly roll?
It cradles the white sands, embracing them with warmth,
The red soil eases the midday heat,
Flowing to the East Sea with grace and form.
My homeland lies at the end of the Red River’s flow,
The estuary eagerly awaits a love that’s true,
Hưng Hà, a place of rare talents,
Lê Quý Đôn, a scholar whose wisdom forever grew.
Thái Bình stands strong, moving forward with hope,
Come visit my home, where you’ll be welcomed with love,
With hearts full of warmth, we embrace you so deep,
Thái Bình will forever offer love, from below to above.
Thái Bình girls (shh), speak softly, so sweet.
Poem by: Nguyễn Hiền Hương

13. The Essence of Thái Bình
Thái Bình, my rice homeland, oh how wide,
A land so vast, where sky and earth collide,
Gaze at Tân Đệ Bridge, where beauty flows,
The Red River swirls, embracing both its shores...
A fertile region, my land so rich,
Where storks fly gracefully, morning and night,
The sweet music of kites in the breeze,
And the lively tunes of chèo songs fill the air with delight.
Come back to the rice fields, today we say,
Where lovers meet and share their hearts,
Tiền Hải’s beaches await, with longing in every wave,
And local treats that delight the soul, they play a part.
How I adore it all, despite the distance far,
My heart still longs for my parents, near or far,
The beauty of Thái Bình, the land of grace,
Its people, full of warmth, kindness, and strength in every place!
Poem by: Võ Sơn Lâm

14. Thái Bình, My Beloved
It’s been so long since I last returned,
To the distant land, my Thái Bình, I yearn,
In autumn’s glow, the sunlight gleams,
Here the purple flowers bloom, their beauty it seems.
Thái Bình, where the fruits are sweet,
The endless fields of rice beneath,
The tamarind tree bends with fruit so dear,
The fresh greens wait, their harvest near.
The villagers, so familiar and warm,
Come and go, from dawn till dusk they swarm,
Though far from home, my heart does pine,
Hearing the rooster crow, it feels divine.
Someone hums a lullaby tonight,
The gentle tune, it takes me to a place of light,
Quietly, in my soul, a longing stirs,
For Thái Bình, where love never blurs.
Poem by: Hồng Chiên

15. Returning to the Homeland of Thái Bình
Will you return with me to the land of Thái?
Let’s watch the sun rise over the golden rice fields,
The Trà Lý River flows gently, like a silken thread,
And the waves of Cồn Vành, as beautiful as dreams.
Will you visit the sweet, fertile land of my roots?
The silk worms spin golden threads beneath the sun,
The mulberry trees stand proudly in their deep green hue,
And at dusk, the sound of the village’s folk song echoes softly.
Come, walk with me through the summer evening,
Where the streets hum with the sound of cicadas,
The melancholy tone of Chùa Keo’s bell resonates,
And the simple love of our homeland fills the air.
Thái Bình, the land so lovely and serene,
Waits for you, as it does for me and my friends,
I want to live forever with you here,
Where the words of poetry are as soft as the land itself.
Poem by: Phùng Nhuận

16. Come to Thái Bình, My Homeland
Will you visit my motherland with me?
Thái Bình has endless golden fields that stretch far and wide.
As we stroll through the evening, we’ll see the rice ready to bloom,
And the fields of yellow grains waving in the breeze.
Will you come with me to the banks of the Red River?
The crimson-colored alluvial soil spreads across the land.
The dark green of cornfields stretches far and wide,
Come soon, my dear, and feel the love of the land.
This land has a long history to tell,
The sound of drums from the old battles still echoes from Tiền Hải,
Lê Quý Đôn, the scholar, will always be remembered,
And Vũ Thục Nương’s courage against the enemy will never fade.
Will you visit with me and my elders?
The hardworking spirit is strong as ever in our daily labor.
In Tiên La, the village festival continues as tradition,
And the poetry at Chùa Keo fills the air with enchantment.
Thái Bình is a land of millions of people,
Working together to build a prosperous future.
The young city by the Trà Lý River,
Is known for its delicious cakes from Làng Nguyễn.
The Cồn Vành Beach stretches far and wide,
At Diêm Điền port, we trade with friends from afar.
The night brings fresh seafood on the boats,
And the fishermen work tirelessly to bring in the catch.
My homeland sings with the melody of chèo,
And waits for us to return and share the joy.
Let’s hurry, come join us soon,
With our hands and youth, let’s build a bright future together.
Poem by: Hoàng Thị Oanh

17. Thái Bình, the Land of My Mother
Thái Bình, the land of my mother, oh how I long for you!
Through all the seasons, rain or shine, the green fields glow with life.
The dike that guides me home,
To the Trần Dynasty's birthplace, where countless professions shine.
This fertile land, home to great heroes,
Where generations fought and wrote poetry,
Sowing rice for the battlefield,
And sending food to those who fought for freedom.
The rivers flow with sweet affection,
Bringing nourishment to our lives.
The water rises and falls with the seasons,
But the paths of home are always marked by the steps of mother and father.
Far from home, my heart stays with the family,
The river of my homeland flows within me.
Every step I take is filled with memories,
Of the distant past that calls me home.
Who will return to my homeland, oh please?
Send a message from afar, to greet the land.
To the place of my ancestors, I swear,
Though miles may separate us, my heart will always return to you!
Poem by: Đăng Vinh Trần

18. Thái Bình, My Hometown
Will you come to Thái Bình with me?
Where the morning sun gleams with a soft golden hue,
The fields stretch wide, lush and green,
The shores are rich with the bounty of cassava and sweet potatoes!
The village girls, graceful with their long hair,
In a land where girls now take the lead in work,
Where love for parents and country runs deep,
Tending the crops, carrying on the work of past generations!
Through the Duong River, my pure hometown calls,
Back to the village, where the red hue of sunset fills the sky,
My hands weave the threads of love and care,
As the moon rises, bringing a fresh breeze of peace!
The road stretches long, bathed in sunlight,
The fragrance of ripe rice fills the air,
The orchard trees bend with heavy fruit,
As I gaze at the sky, my love for this land grows stronger.
Here at Cồn Vành, the sea hums a gentle lullaby,
In Đồng Châu, the call of shrimp and fish beckons,
The waves crash in rhythm as evening approaches,
As the boats hurry home through the dusky night.
Here, the views are breathtaking and beautiful,
Let me show you every corner, my dear,
During the festival season, with the sound of folk songs,
And the storks fluttering over the vast green fields!

19. Thai Binh, My Homeland
With great pride, I speak of Thai Binh, my homeland.
Where the sky meets golden fields in a radiant display.
Oh, Thai Binh, the land of rice, how I adore thee!
Let my love for you echo through countless heartfelt words.
Rich and abundant, from street to street,
The warmth of the people is felt everywhere.
The land, fertile and lush, provides abundantly,
In every season, with fruits and greens thriving.
From rural villages to urban centers,
Its beauty mirrors the elegance of ancient art.
Standing proudly beside the capital,
Together, we build a stronger, united nation.
The people of Thai Binh are both skillful and industrious,
Masters in both home and state affairs.
In every field—be it art, poetry, or work—
Their talents fill every corner, vibrant and alive.
Thai Binh, land of harvests and prosperity,
A place of legend, with a history that shines bright.
On festive nights, the lanterns glow with joy,
Songs of love and pride resonate in the air.
From the descendants of dragons and gods,
Thai Binh stands proud, immortal and eternal.
One day, I wish to visit and see,
This land of abundance, where its name is honored far and wide.

20. Thai Binh, My Beloved
Never before have I visited the land of Chau River,
A place rich with fertile soil, shaped by the river's flow.
The rice fields stretch endlessly, no borders in sight,
The green mulberry fields and reed beds are a picturesque delight.
My sisters are eagerly awaiting our reunion,
With poems of love to ease the longing for home.
They speak of Keo Pagoda, their voices full of warmth,
And I, with a fluttering heart, feel inspiration stir within.
The summer arrives with the sound of cicadas,
Does the evening rain bring some coolness to the air?
I listen closely to the voice of the river,
The waves of the sea, rising and falling, whispering their secrets.
My sister tells me, Thai Binh is beautiful,
The streets of the city, tall buildings reaching the sky.
Everywhere, progress is evident, transforming the land,
While the statue of the great leader stands as a reminder for all.
Oh, Thai Binh, you are cherished and radiant,
From the people who strive to rise above.
Every monument, every landscape is unforgettable,
And the longing for you grows deeper and wider.
