1. Khe Go Primitive Forest
Khe Go is located in An Lac Commune, Son Dong District, Bac Giang Province, about 95km from Bac Giang City to the east and 145km from Hanoi to the northeast along the Hanoi - Bac Giang - Khe Go route. The Khe Go Primitive Forest in An Lac Commune, Son Dong District, is a representative example of the northeastern region's virgin forests.
Located in a mountainous area, Khe Go offers a cool, fresh climate with average temperatures ranging from 24°C to 28°C in the summer, while in winter, it is enveloped in warmth thanks to the thick canopy of trees. Covering an area of 7,153 hectares, the forest boasts a rich variety of flora and fauna. It is home to 236 plant species, 255 types of medicinal herbs, 37 mammal species, 73 bird species, 18 reptile species, and notably, 7 rare animal species. Numerous clear streams meander through the forest, adding to its pristine beauty. This area remains one of the best-preserved primitive forests, ideal for both tourists and researchers.
The Scenery of Khe Go is breathtaking and untouched, with dense forest canopies, freshwater streams, waterfalls, rocky gorges, and particularly, crystal-clear ponds in the middle of the forest, perfect for swimming and relaxation. The local communities here are mostly Tay people, with some Dao, Hoa, and Kinh ethnic groups. These locals regularly harvest medicinal plants from the forest and wash clothes in the streams, living a simple and peaceful life.
The Khe Go Primitive Forest has the ideal conditions to develop various forms of tourism, including eco-tourism, adventure tourism, research tourism, and resort tourism. In recent years, the An Lac authorities have been collaborating with NGOs to help local residents develop community-based tourism, with the aim of making this area a key highlight of Bac Giang's tourism.

2. Khuon Than Lake
The forest covers an area of about 800 hectares, including 300 hectares of natural forest and 500 hectares of planted, regenerated forest, and grassland. Khuon Than Lake spans 240 hectares and is surrounded by lush pine, cajeput, and eucalyptus forests that remain green year-round. The lake contains five small islands that rise like inverted hills in the middle of the clear water, each island covered by pine trees aged 15 to 20 years.
Khuon Than is also renowned for its extensive fruit orchards that stretch as far as the eye can see. Visitors to Khuon Than will have the opportunity to explore the “Green lungs of Luc Ngan” with its five year-round verdant pine islands. Located in the Nghia Phuong commune of Luc Nam district, about 32 km northeast of Bac Giang city, Suoi Mo is a famous scenic destination of the region. The site is a perfect combination of ecotourism and spiritual tourism. Here, visitors can enjoy local legends, such as the story of Princess Quế Mỵ Nương, a graceful and virtuous lady who was loved by many suitors but chose to explore the world, especially the mysterious valleys of Huyen Dinh and Yen Tu.
Suoi Mo is known for its beautiful natural scenery, where the lush forests and waterfalls create an unforgettable experience for visitors. 4. Vinh Nghiem Pagoda
Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, covering about 1 hectare, is surrounded by dense bamboo groves. The pagoda consists of four main structures: the Heavenly Palace, Upper Shrine, First Patriarch Hall, Bell Tower, and the Second Patriarch Hall. The entrance is marked by a brick gate, leading to the Bai Duong (Hod) hall about 100 meters ahead. The pagoda also features a large stone stele from 1606 commemorating the renovation of the pagoda. Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is dedicated to Buddha and is historically significant for being the center of Buddhist education during the Tran Dynasty, specifically for training monks in the Truc Lam Zen School. It is considered the birthplace of Vietnam’s Truc Lam Zen tradition and has played a vital role in the development of Vietnamese Buddhism.
Opposite the stone stele is a cemetery with the tombs of five famous monks, including Master Phu Lang Trung, Thong Duye, Thanh Qui, Tinh Phuong, and Thanh Hanh. Today, Vinh Nghiem is not only a spiritual site but also a popular destination for visitors who want to experience the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of Vietnam. The pagoda also preserves valuable artifacts such as statues of Buddha, stone steles, and wooden blocks that were inscribed with Buddhist scriptures. In 2012, UNESCO recognized its 3,050 wooden blocks as part of the Memory of the World programme for the Asia-Pacific region.

5. Bo Da Pagoda
Bo Da Pagoda, also known as Quan Am Pagoda on Mount Bo Da or Bo Da Son Quan Am Tu, is one of the most unique pagodas in the Kinh Bac region and a significant center of the Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Buddhist school. Located on Mount Phoenix in Tien Son Commune, Bac Giang, this ancient pagoda traces its origins back to the Ly Dynasty and was rebuilt during the reign of King Le Du Tong. Today, the Bo Da Pagoda complex consists of several key structures, including the Cao Pagoda, Tam Duc Hermitage, Tu An Pagoda, and the Stupa Garden.
Constructed using a variety of materials, such as baked bricks, tiles, pottery, and earthen walls, Bo Da Pagoda stands out for its distinctive construction techniques. The walls, gates, and some buildings are made from compacted earth, a traditional building method known as 'chinh tuong.' The Stupa Garden, one of the largest and most beautiful in the country, contains 110 stupas and various graves, all built with bricks and stones using traditional techniques, such as the mortar made from sugarcane. 6. Dong Cao
In recent years, Dong Cao has become a favorite destination for weekend camping trips, especially for young adventurers who love the outdoors. Situated at nearly 1,000 meters above sea level, the area remains largely untouched by development, with a dramatic landscape of rolling mountains and clouds drifting lazily across the sky year-round. At the summit, there's a mysterious cave called King's Cave, associated with intriguing local legends and supernatural tales. At the foot of the mountain, a small Dao village thrives, where the locals are known for their friendliness and hospitality, and still preserve many unique cultural practices.
