The Saigon - Con Dao high-speed ferry (Thang Long High-Speed Ferry) is part of the 2023–2025 waterway development plan operated by Phu Quoc Joint Stock Company. On May 13, 2024, the ferry officially began operations as a new passenger transport route. For passenger convenience, the company will initially provide free shuttle buses departing from 23/9 Park at 5:30 AM to Saigon Port - Hiep Phuoc (Nha Be District).

Ferry Schedule
Currently, the Saigon - Con Dao high-speed ferry operates three trips per week (on alternate days) and returns to Saigon at 1:00 PM the following day (on alternate days). Departures are at 7:00 AM from Saigon Port - Hiep Phuoc to Con Dao, and from Con Dao to Ho Chi Minh City at 1:00 PM from Ben Dam Port. The estimated travel time is over 4 hours.

Overview of the Ferry

This is considered the largest high-speed ferry in Vietnam, with a capacity of up to 1,017 passengers. The ferry is equipped with modern facilities, air conditioning, comfortable seating, and LCD TVs. It features restrooms and a VIP cabin with 300 modern seats and a dedicated high-definition entertainment system. The VIP seats are leather-upholstered and come with an advanced audio-visual system that meets national technical standards for high-speed marine vessel classification and construction, complying with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) standards. The ferry can reach speeds of up to 35 knots. Under favorable weather conditions, it can travel from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao in just over 4 hours and from Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau in just over 3 hours.


Designed as a Catamaran, also known as a twin-hull vessel, the ferry features two parallel hulls of equal size, enhancing its anti-sinking and anti-capsizing capabilities. It boasts optimal safety ratings, stable speed, and excellent balance during operation. With these superior features, the ferry is an ideal choice for passenger transport or as a tourist vessel. It has three main decks: the VIP cabin on the first deck, standard passenger cabins on the second and third decks, and a coffee service area on the fourth deck.



Ticket Prices
The Saigon - Con Dao high-speed ferry currently offers standard tickets ranging from 790,000 to 950,000 VND per trip. Premium service tickets cost approximately 1.1 million VND. Discounted fares for children, disabled individuals, and seniors range from 550,000 to 760,000 VND per trip. These prices do not include the port usage fee at Con Dao Passenger Port.
