How to get to Tien Giang
Make My Tho city your primary destination. From Ho Chi Minh City, you can either take a bus or ride a motorcycle. Numerous buses depart daily from the Western Bus Station at various times, with ticket prices starting at 60,000 VND per person. If you prefer riding a motorcycle, just follow National Road 1A and head towards the Trung Luong intersection, where you’ll find signs or can ask locals for directions to My Tho.

Most hotels and guesthouses are located along the main streets of My Tho city. On regular days, visitors don’t need to book in advance. However, during the Tet holiday, to ensure availability, it is recommended to contact and reserve your room about four days ahead.

Cai Be Floating Market
Traveling to Tien Giang during Tet, a visit to the Cai Be Floating Market is a must. Located in Cai Be District, this market sits on the Tien River, bordering three provinces: Tien Giang, Vinh Long, and Ben Tre. As the largest wholesale floating market in the Mekong Delta, Cai Be offers a wide variety of products, mostly fruits and agricultural goods. Visitors can rent boats or canoes to explore the market from 5 AM to 7 AM. In addition to sightseeing and enjoying local delicacies, visitors can also shop for unique souvenirs.

Thoi Son Islet
A domestic holiday in Tien Giang wouldn’t be complete without visiting Thoi Son Islet. Situated in the lower part of the Tien River in Chau Thanh District, this tranquil land attracts visitors with its lush fruit gardens, peaceful atmosphere, and traditional rural activities.
