Best Time to Visit

The ideal time to visit Cat Tien is from December to May, during the dry season. At this time, the weather is dry, with minimal rain, making it perfect for travel and outdoor activities. During the dry season, the water in the streams and waterfalls is clear, allowing visitors to easily enjoy the scenery and wildlife. Additionally, it is the season when many animal species are active near the rivers and streams.

How to Reach the Park

By Bus:
- Catch a bus from the Eastern Bus Station heading to destinations like Da Teh, Tan Phu, or Dinh Quan (districts close to Cat Tien).
- Popular bus services: Phuong Trang, Thanh Buoi
- Travel time: about 4-5 hours.
By Motorcycle/Private Car:
- From Ho Chi Minh City, follow National Route 1A, turn at the Dầu Giây intersection, and head onto National Route 20 towards Da Lat. When reaching Tan Phu intersection, turn onto Provincial Road 600 to reach the entrance of Cat Tien National Park.
- Distance: approximately 150 km.

Getting Around the Park

Visitors can rent bicycles for 30,000 VND/hour or 150,000 VND/day (8 hours). Alternatively, you can bring your own bicycle for a fee of 100,000 VND/day.

Ancient Fig Tree and Ben Cu Waterfall Route

This is an easy-to-reach route, perfect for visitors who want to explore the highlights near the center of Cat Tien National Park. The journey begins with a 3 km bike ride to the giant Ancient Fig Tree, where its unique roots spread across the ground. Continuing further, you'll arrive at Ben Cu Waterfall, where cool waters cascade over large rocks. The area offers a picturesque natural setting, ideal for relaxation and photography.

Bau Sau Route

This destination is perfect for those who enjoy exploring wetland ecosystems and observing wildlife. The adventure starts with a jeep ride from the center to the Ranger Station (about 14 km). After that, take a 5 km walk through the tropical rainforest to reach Bau Sau. Here, you'll have the chance to see freshwater crocodiles in their natural habitat, along with many species of birds.

Bang Lang Forest Route

This route stands out with the stunning sight of purple Bang Lang trees in full bloom, especially from March to May. Visitors can bike about 6 km through tree-lined paths and immerse themselves in the serene atmosphere of the tropical forest.

Night Wildlife Observation Route

This is a unique experience that allows you to explore the nocturnal life of wild animals. Visitors are taken on a jeep ride through the forest at night. Special lights are used to spot animals such as deer, wild boars, and even small carnivores. This activity offers an adventurous feel and a closer look at wildlife.

Cat Tien National Park offers dining services at two main restaurants: Cây Dầu and Tre Vàng. At Bau Sau area, visitors can also enjoy simple meals at affordable prices. The Tre Vàng restaurant, with a capacity of about 100 guests, specializes in European and Asian dishes.

Meanwhile, Cây Dầu restaurant, with a capacity of up to 150 guests, is divided into two areas. The outdoor section offers views of the green landscape, while the indoor area provides a cozy atmosphere. Located near the campsite, it's convenient for groups to organize activities like team building or gala dinners. Additionally, Cây Dầu restaurant provides dinner delivery services directly to the campsite area for maximum convenience for guests.
