Though not as renowned as other spots in Phu Yen, An Hai Fishing Village (Tuy An District) offers the authentic ambiance of a coastal community, captivating visitors with its charm.
Introduction to An Hai Fishing Village

Located 25 km from Tuy Hoa City, An Hai Fishing Village is the perfect escape from urban life. From Ho Chi Minh City, you can take a sleeper bus or fly to Tuy Hoa. From there, you can hire a taxi or motorbike to Phuoc Dong Village, An Hai Commune, Tuy An District. Popular transportation options for tourists include taxis (13,200 VND/km) and motorbike rentals (100,000 – 150,000 VND/day).

The road to the fishing village is dotted with several famous attractions. Due to its lesser-known status, the village retains its pristine and rustic charm. The sight of boats docked on the sandy shore, with crystal-clear water revealing seaweed below, is a common scene in An Hai.

Currently, An Hai Fishing Village has limited lodging options, primarily homestays. Prices for homestays range from 300,000 to 400,000 VND for a double room. If traveling with friends or family, you can opt for shared rooms to save costs. Prices in Phu Yen, including An Hai, are generally affordable, but it’s advisable to check rates before using services here.

Experiencing Life in the Fishing Village
Nature has blessed the fishing village with serene landscapes. Whether at sunrise or sunset, An Hai always exudes a captivating charm. The most picturesque time here is during sunset, when fishing boats set out to sea. At dawn, the boats return laden with fish and shrimp, giving rise to the village’s bustling fish market. The market operates from 5:00 AM to around 7:30 AM, offering visitors the chance to buy fresh seafood for cooking.

The beach at An Hai Fishing Village is quite steep, making it more suitable for sightseeing and seafood shopping than swimming. Along the route to the village, visitors can explore several famous landmarks, such as Ganh Da Dia (about 10 km away), Bai Xep (around 8 km away), the ancient Mang Lang Church (approximately 20 km away), and Hon Yen (about 12 km away).
