The latest update from Vietnam Airlines states that from March 22, 2022, the national carrier will officially introduce online check-in services for passengers departing from Dien Bien Airport. This initiative is part of Vietnam Airlines' ongoing efforts to enhance passenger convenience and comfort during their travels.
This will mark the 12th domestic airport where Vietnam Airlines offers online check-in services, following airports such as Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Van Don, Cat Bi, Vinh, Chu Lai, Con Dao, Phu Quoc, and Lien Khuong (Da Lat).

From March 22, Vietnam Airlines will introduce online check-in services at Dien Bien Airport.
Earlier, on February 16, 2022, Vietnam Airlines also launched this convenient service at Lien Khuong Airport (Da Lat).
In recent years, the power of digital technology, along with the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, has caused online communication and transaction methods to thrive, demonstrating clear benefits in convenience, safety, and speed. Online check-in is one of these methods.
Passengers are likely no longer unfamiliar with the simple and convenient procedures to complete check-in before their flight. There's no need to waste time standing in long lines at the airline's check-in counter at the airport, nor any complicated paperwork. Nowadays, all you need is a smartphone, iPad, or laptop, and you can check in for your flight. Vietnam Airlines allows passengers to check in through both its App and website.

Additionally, not only can you check in online via the App or Website, but Vietnam Airlines also offers a self-check-in kiosk service available at certain airport terminals. Passengers flying domestically to/from Cat Bi, Noi Bai, Vinh, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, and Tan Son Nhat airports can use the kiosk for check-in. Notably, Noi Bai airport provides self-check-in kiosks for both domestic and international flights.
In just over a month, Vietnam Airlines has continuously expanded its online check-in network by adding two more domestic airports, working towards its goal of becoming a Digital Airline.
Currently, about 55% of passengers at major airports like Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, and Da Nang use Vietnam Airlines' online check-in service, and over 30% at regional airports, demonstrating the significant demand for this convenient service and confirming its essential role for travelers.
It is certain that in the near future, Vietnam Airlines will continue to expand the option for passengers to check in online at domestic airports, enhancing the overall customer experience.
