How to reach Cloud Waterfall
Travelers can opt to ride a motorbike from Hanoi to reach Cloud Waterfall, Thanh Hoa. Located approximately 150 km from Hanoi, right next to Cuc Phuong National Park, you can reach this waterfall by following the Ho Chi Minh trail.

Starting from Hanoi, follow National Route 6. When you reach the Chương Mỹ, Xuân Mai intersection, turn left. Continue until you reach kilometer 0 of Cuc Phuong. Cross the Cuc Phuong Bridge and head towards the beginning of the Sông Ngang Bridge, where you'll turn right. From here, travel for about 10 more kilometers until you encounter a fork in the road. Turn left, and you'll arrive at Cloud Waterfall. According to the legend of the Muong people who live here, Cloud Waterfall was created by the footprints of celestial maidens. The story tells of nine maidens who, on a visit to the earthly realm, stopped by the waterfall to bathe. While they were bathing, they received an order from the Jade Emperor to return to the heavens immediately. In their haste to fly back, the maidens left behind nine footprints on the waterfall, which formed nine tiers, from high to low.

The local people believe that if lovers bathe together at the waterfall, they will become husband and wife. Because of this, the waterfall is also known as the “Waterfall of 9 Stages of Love.” In addition to the 9 tiers, there are also the Father, Mother, and Child Waterfalls. On both sides of the waterfall, there are towering ancient trees that provide shade. The sound of birds singing adds to the romantic atmosphere, making the surroundings even more enchanting.
