Starting from April 1st, 2024, Bamboo Airways has officially ceased operating flights from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao.

Direct flights to Con Dao from Hanoi are no longer available. How can you reach Con Dao now?
As a result, travelers from Hanoi and other northern provinces will no longer have the option of direct flights to Con Dao. They will now have to take connecting flights or use sea transport from southern regions.
First, connecting flights. Travelers from the north will fly to Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho, then transfer to another flight to Con Dao. These connecting flights from Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho are operated by VASCO (a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines Group), with a flight time of approximately 1 hour.
For flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao, the one-way ticket price ranges from 1.5 million VND. There are about 15 flights available each day.
For flights from Can Tho to Con Dao, the one-way ticket price starts at 1.7 million VND. There is one flight per day.
Secondly, sea travel. Ferry routes to Con Dao depart from Ninh Kieu Port (Can Tho), Cau Da Port (Vung Tau), Tran De Port (Soc Trang), and Saigon Hiệp Phước Port (Nha Be District) to Ben Dam Port (Con Dao). The travel time ranges from 2.5 to 5 hours.
Ticket prices range from 480,000 VND to 1.2 million VND per person, one way.
