1. Completing check-in procedures at the airport
Check-in at the airport is the most traditional and fundamental method employed by all airlines. The process for this check-in option is straightforward:
- Step 1: Proceed to the check-in counter at the airport
- Step 2: Receive your boarding pass
- Step 3: Head to the airport security checkpoint
- Step 4: Proceed to the boarding gate
- Step 5: Board the aircraft
Airport check-in is the most traditional and fundamental method of check-in
With this check-in method, passengers should keep the following points in mind:
- Passengers must arrive at the airport on time to ensure completion of flight procedures, customs, security, immigration, and other formalities.
- If the flight schedule changes, the check-in counter opening and closing times will be adjusted to align with the new departure time.
- The opening and closing times of check-in counters depend on the regulations of the airport authorities and the specific airline.

2. Complete online check-in
With online check-in, passengers can travel more comfortably and leisurely, avoiding the need to rush to the airport early or endure long queues at the check-in counters. By following a few simple steps on the official Bamboo Airways website, travelers can easily complete their flight check-in procedures.
Steps for online check-in with Bamboo Airways
- Step 1: Visit the Bamboo Airways homepage and select “Online Check-in.”
- Step 2: Enter the booking code or e-ticket number along with the full middle name, first name, and last name of one of the passengers on the flight.
- Step 3: On the Booking Details page, select the passenger’s name and choose the flight for check-in, then click “Continue.”
- Step 4: The screen will display ICI regulations regarding passengers and baggage. Please read the information carefully, then click “Agree” and “Continue.”
- Step 5: On the Services page, passengers can opt for additional services such as selecting preferred seats for the flight and proceed with payment. If not, click “Continue.”
- Step 6: Once the check-in process is complete, the system will display a successful check-in notification. Here, passengers can choose to print their boarding pass or send it via email for themselves or their companions.
- Step 7: The screen will display a notification confirming that the boarding pass has been sent. Passengers should check their email to access it. Once received, the boarding pass can be printed or saved on a mobile device.
At the airport, if passengers have checked baggage, they must proceed to the check-in counter to drop off their luggage. If traveling without checked baggage, passengers who have completed online check-in can bypass the check-in counter and proceed directly to the security checkpoint. Here, security personnel will verify the information on the boarding pass. After clearance, passengers can head to the boarding gate.
The online check-in system is applicable for Bamboo Airways’ domestic flights departing from the following airports: Noi Bai – Hanoi (HAN), Da Nang – Da Nang (DAD), Tan Son Nhat – Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), and Cam Ranh – Nha Trang (CXR).
Opening and closing times for online check-in:
- Flight opening time: Within 24 hours
- Flight closing time relative to scheduled departure: 60 minutes for both domestic and international flights

3. Check-in at the airport Kiosk
This is the latest check-in method introduced by Bamboo Airways in mid-January 2021.
Quick and convenient steps for check-in at Bamboo Airways’ self-service kiosks located at the airport:
- Step 1: Select either Vietnamese or English as your preferred language
- Step 2: Enter the verification details using your booking code, e-ticket number, or QR code
- Step 3: Select the flight for check-in
- Step 4: Choose your seat on the flight and enter your Bamboo Club membership number to earn points
- Step 5: Print your boarding pass – Check-in process completed
Currently, self-service check-in kiosks are located at:
+ Noi Bai Airport: 2nd Floor, Terminal 1, Hall A.
+ Tan Son Nhat Airport: Gate D3 - Domestic Terminal.

4. Mobile Check-in via mobile devices
Steps to complete mobile check-in with Bamboo Airways:
- Step 1: Download the Bamboo Airways app from CH Play for Android or App Store for iOS. Tap “Menu” and select Vietnamese to use the app in Vietnamese.
- Step 2: On the app’s home screen, tap “More,” then “Online Check-in” to proceed with Bamboo Airways’ online check-in process, specifically designed for mobile devices.
- Step 3: Fill in the complete flight details, including the booking code, middle name, first name, and last name. Then, click “Check-in.”
- Step 4: Select the passenger(s) you wish to check in via Mobile Check-in. If the booking includes multiple passengers, you can select all or some by ticking the box next to their names. Then, click “Select Flight.”
- Step 5: Check the box for “Add pre-booking services,” then click “Continue” to choose your seat on the flight.
- Step 6: Complete the mobile check-in process. At this point, you can directly print your boarding pass or have the information sent to your email.
Important notes for Mobile Check-in:
- Before proceeding with the mobile check-in steps, you must download the Bamboo Airways app from the Play Store for Android devices or the App Store for iOS devices.
- For Mobile Check-in, the system is only available within 24 hours before the flight's departure.
- Mobile Check-in is applicable only for domestic flights departing from Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), Da Nang Airport (Da Nang City), and Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City).
- If you have checked baggage, you must still visit the check-in counter at the airport to complete the baggage check-in process as usual.
