"Cháy Vé" Many Domestic Flights for the 30/4 - 1/5 Holiday Season
On the other hand, booking rates for flights from various provinces to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City during the early days of the holiday period are at an average level, ranging around 50%. Some routes, such as Hai Phong – Ho Chi Minh City, Dien Bien – Ho Chi Minh City, Dien Bien – Hanoi, and Da Lat – Hanoi, have higher booking rates.
For the middle of the holiday period, April 29th, booking rates have not shown significant increases or fluctuations on domestic flights, with most routes ranging between 30% and 50%. Travelers still have many options to choose from on this day.
However, on the last day of the holiday (1/5), booking rates show a clear and significant increase on flights departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, averaging above 75%.
To ensure public travel demand is met, the Vietnam Civil Aviation Administration has instructed Vietnamese airlines to look for and lease aircraft on a short-term basis, extend aircraft operating hours, especially increasing flights during the evening and nighttime, extend operation times, and reduce turnaround times. Additionally, airlines are advised to deploy wide-body aircraft for domestic flights to enhance capacity and supply.
