Singapore Airlines, the flagship carrier of the Lion City, is headquartered at the famous Changi International Airport. With a strong fleet and a 5-star Skytrax service rating, Singapore Airlines is a preferred choice for many travelers flying between Vietnam, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and the United States. Below, Mytour provides useful guidelines on carry-on luggage for your upcoming flights with Singapore Airlines.

The airline Singapore Airlines has achieved 5-star Skytrax service certification
When flying with Singapore Airlines, passengers are allowed to bring up to two pieces of carry-on luggage into the cabin, depending on their seat class.

Note:
- For the safety, comfort, and convenience of all passengers onboard, Singapore Airlines places great importance on ensuring that the overhead compartments are not overcrowded and that the cabin remains clean and tidy at all times.
- If your carry-on luggage exceeds the allowed limits, Singapore Airlines will collect and store it in the aircraft’s cargo hold. Additionally, you will be required to pay for excess baggage fees if the total weight or number of pieces exceeds your free baggage allowance.
Additional items allowed on board
In addition to your carry-on baggage allowance, when flying with Singapore Airlines, you are also permitted to bring ONE OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS on board for free (subject to any country-specific restrictions, if applicable). These items may include:
- Women's handbags
- Camera / Camera bag
- Document briefcase
- Jacket
- Umbrella
- Laptop / Personal computer in a bag
- Baby items and food for use onboard. The total weight of these items must not exceed 6 kg.
- A walking stick, a pair of crutches, and/or other prosthetic devices, if you require these items.
- A limited amount of duty-free goods (where permitted).

You must adhere to all the clear carry-on luggage regulations set by the airline.
Note:
For women's handbags, cameras, camera bags, document briefcases, laptops, or personal computers in a bag: The maximum size for these items is 40 x 30 x 10 cm each. If your item exceeds a total size of 80 cm (sum of length, width, and height), it will be considered part of your standard carry-on allowance. You will then be asked to check in the carry-on or additional item.
Carry-on luggage inspection procedures
Singapore Airlines will conduct checks during check-in and before boarding. At the check-in stage, carry-on luggage exceeding the allowed limit will need to be checked in. Prior to boarding, any carry-on items that exceed the limit will be collected and stored in the aircraft's cargo hold. Singapore Airlines will charge excess baggage fees if the total weight or number of checked-in items exceeds your free checked baggage allowance.
For the safety and comfort of all passengers, Singapore Airlines has full discretion in determining whether any item in your luggage is allowed in the cabin or must be checked in as hold luggage.
These are the important regulations regarding carry-on luggage set by Singapore Airlines. Please review and keep them handy for reference.
