Spanning across the breathtaking high hills of Don Duong, the spiritual and cultural tourism destination Samten Hills Dalat offers a comprehensive ecosystem for nurturing the health of body, mind, and soul.
Samten Hills Dalat
The architecture of Samten Hills Dalat draws inspiration from the Himalayan regions. Here, visitors can reconnect with their inner selves. This is a spiritual and cultural space dedicated to Vajrayana Buddhism, guided by the esteemed Drubwang Sonam Jorfel Rinpoche.

The logo is inspired by the Mandala circle – a microcosm of the universe in ancient Indian symbolism. This emblem represents the uninterrupted connection between the inner and outer worlds. In Tibetan, 'Samten' signifies mental stability and balance. The site features three main areas: the reception zone, the Spiritual Cultural Space, and Joyful Hill.

The Spiritual Cultural Space is the heart of the complex. It houses a collection of Buddhist art crafted by artisans from India and Nepal. The centerpiece of the exhibition hall is a statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, accompanied by numerous other statues of varying sizes. The walls are adorned with paintings of mandalas, Buddhas, and Bodhisattvas, alongside a curated selection of Buddhist teachings.

Unique architectural marvels at Samten Hills Dalat
The Longevity Buddha statue represents the Sambhogakaya form of Amitabha Buddha. In Buddhist philosophy, the universe is filled with various sacred energies, each embodied by different Buddhas. Among them, Amitabha Buddha symbolizes the energy of health and vitality. The Longevity Buddha statue at Samten Hills Dalat was crafted following the original Tibetan Buddhist design.

The Maitreya Buddha statue is constructed in accordance with Vajrayana Buddhist standards. Positioned to the east, the statue offers a stunning view at sunrise. As the sun rises, its warm golden rays create a vibrant and life-affirming atmosphere.

Within the Buddhist Spiritual Cultural Space stands the Great Prayer Wheel Stupa, also known as Drigung Kagyu Rinchen Khorchen Khorwe Go Gek. According to Buddhist scriptures, placing a prayer wheel stupa on a high mountain makes it a dwelling place of Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. Each rotation of the prayer wheel generates positive and peaceful energy.

On December 11, 2022, the Great Prayer Wheel Stupa officially set a Guinness World Record as the largest prayer wheel stupa in the world. The stupa is made of 24k gold-plated copper and contains countless Om Mani Padme Hum mantras printed on silk paper and other auspicious items.
