BEFORE THE FLIGHT
How to register for the service?
Passengers can register through various channels:
- At the branches of Vietnam Airlines

- Online via the Vietnam Airlines website: www.vietnamairline.com
Prepare the required documents
The registration documents for the service include:
- Medical information form (part 1) – MEDIF I: To be filled out by the passenger or a family member
- Medical information form (part 2) – MEDIF II: To be filled out by the doctor
- Letter from Vietnam Airlines: For the doctor to understand the principles of transporting passengers who are patients
Document preparation deadline
Within 14 days prior to the flight date of each leg of the journey.
Note: In some cases, the document must be prepared within 7 days before the flight date of each leg of the journey:
- Passengers requesting stretcher service and/or using an oxygen tank on the flight
- Passengers needing to use medical devices during the flight
- Pregnant women at 36 weeks or later or those expected to give birth within 4 to 8 weeks before the flight
List of medical facilities authorized to confirm health status
- In Vietnam: General or specialized hospitals at the central, provincial, or municipal level or equivalent: Medical establishments with legal entity status, licensed by competent authorities to operate in Vietnam.
- In other countries: Medical establishments with legal entity status, licensed by competent authorities to operate in the respective countries.
Health confirmation requirements for accompanying passengers
- The accompanying person and the passenger must be on the same flight number, date, route, and service class.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have full civil legal capacity
- Must not be someone who has lost or has restricted civil legal capacity
- Healthy and not among those required to provide health confirmation before the flight or passengers requesting other special services
- Passengers using oxygen service during the flight: The accompanying person must have medical expertise
Note:
- In certain cases as per the doctor's recommendation, passengers MUST be accompanied by someone to assist them throughout the flight.
- Some cases do not require an accompanying person, including:
+ Passengers in stable condition, who have adjusted to their medical condition, have received health clearance from a medical facility, and are allowed to fly without the need for an accompanying person.
+ Passengers who are able to move independently, eat, drink, and take care of themselves throughout the journey.
AT THE AIRPORT
Passengers will be accepted for transport if they meet the following conditions:
- Have pre-registered for special services and received confirmation from Vietnam Airlines
- Ensure all required documents are complete. All paperwork must be valid and legally recognized
- The passenger's health condition at the time of check-in at the airport must be suitable for air travel
- The transportation of passengers does not compromise the safety of the aircraft, crew, other passengers, or their belongings
ON THE FLIGHT

Passengers are given careful attention and excellent service throughout the flight
