Noi Bai (Hanoi), Cat Bi (Hai Phong), Van Don (Quang Ninh), and Tho Xuan (Thanh Hoa) airports will temporarily halt operations to ensure safety during Typhoon Yagi.
Responding to Typhoon Yagi
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, by the afternoon of September 6, Typhoon Yagi will approach the Leizhou Peninsula and Hainan Island (China). By the morning of September 7, the storm's center is expected to be in the waters from Quang Ninh to Ninh Binh. Upon entering the Gulf of Tonkin, the typhoon is forecast to weaken to category 13-14. Hanoi and neighboring provinces will experience heavy rainfall on September 7-8.

The super typhoon is evolving unpredictably and is set to make landfall in Vietnam. This storm will directly impact civil aviation operations at northern airports, including Noi Bai, Van Don, Cat Bi, and Tho Xuan international airports. Typhoon Yagi is expected to disrupt approximately 240 domestic and 70 international flights.

Four Airports Temporarily Suspended
