Vietnam Airlines has launched an incredibly attractive offer for its customers, providing them with an additional piece of checked luggage, allowing passengers to bring along everything they love. The details of the program are as follows:

- The luggage giveaway program applies to tickets purchased on the website, mobile app, official Vietnam Airlines ticket offices, and authorized agents, as well as Pacific Airlines' ticket offices and website.
- The total number of standard baggage allowed is a maximum of 2 pieces per passenger.
- The promotional offer is valid for tickets purchased from now until June 30, 2022.
- Important baggage guidelines when flying with Vietnam Airlines
Carry-on luggage guidelines
- Carry-on luggage consists of the main bag and 1 accessory item.
- For safety reasons, the weight and dimensions of carry-on luggage must adhere to the following: The maximum weight for 1 piece of carry-on luggage is 10kg/22lb.
- The total weight of carry-on luggage must not exceed:
+ For Economy Class: 12kg/26lb, including 1 bag and 1 accessory item;
+ For Premium Economy/Business Class: 18kg/40lb, consisting of 2 bags and 1 accessory item.
- The maximum total size of all three dimensions (length, width, height) must not exceed:
+ For 1 carry-on bag: 115cm (56cm x 36cm x 23cm);
+ For 1 accessory item: 40cm x 30cm x 15cm.
In addition to the standard carry-on luggage mentioned above, passengers are allowed to bring personal items onboard for free, such as umbrellas, books, magazines, coats, strollers, and more.

- If the carry-on luggage exceeds the allowed quantity, weight, and size, it will be required to be checked in.
- On certain flights, even if the carry-on luggage meets the standard size limit, it may still need to be checked in (free of charge) due to limited aircraft capacity (especially on ATR72 or A321 flights).
Checked baggage guidelines
If you need to carry more luggage than the free allowance, you can choose Vietnam Airlines' Prepaid Baggage service.
Important information about Vietnam Airlines' Prepaid Baggage service:
- This service applies to tickets issued by Vietnam Airlines (738) and flights operated by both Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines (excluding flights operated by ATR 72 aircraft).
- Prepaid baggage must be purchased at least 6 hours before the scheduled departure of the flight.
- Prepaid baggage is sold in standard weights of 23 kg and 10 kg, with a maximum total dimension of 158 cm (length + width + height).
- Prepaid baggage is valid for the purchased flight and ticket; changes to the flight date or itinerary are allowed if the new flight's cost is equal to or higher. These changes must be made at least 6 hours before the departure time of both the purchased and new flight segments.
- Prepaid baggage is non-transferable; it cannot be refunded or exchanged for other services or passenger tickets. However, prepaid baggage purchased with a ticket for flights departing from South Korea, and that has not been used, is eligible for a refund. The refund amount is 25% of the unused prepaid baggage value.
Vietnam Airlines is currently the only domestic airline accepting pets on board, but passengers must follow the airline's specific guidelines
