Based on the fare search system at Mytour.vn, the Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc route in November 2023 features super-economical ticket prices starting at only 8,000 VND/way (base fare excluding taxes and surcharges), offered by Vietravel Airlines on numerous flight days throughout the month. With this ticket, passengers are entitled to 7kg of carry-on baggage and ticket conditions include name changes and ticket modifications, but refunds are not applicable. The total ticket price, including taxes and fees, for the journey is 703,000 VND.
Currently, Vietravel Airlines operates only one daily flight on the Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc route, departing at 5:05 PM. Throughout November, the 8,000 VND/way fare appears quite frequently, making it easy for passengers to successfully book tickets.
Additionally, VietJet Air also offers competitive basic fares starting at just 10,000 VND/way. The total fare, including taxes and fees, for this journey is 716,000 VND.
When flying with VietJet Air, passengers are also allowed 7kg of carry-on luggage, with tickets being refundable and changeable, although name changes are not permitted. Compared to Vietravel Airlines, VietJet Air has a slight advantage with a more flexible flight schedule. Vietnam Airlines and Pacific Airlines also operate the Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc route. However, in November, the starting fares for these two airlines are significantly higher compared to VietJet and Vietravel. Vietnam Airlines offers a starting fare of 669,000 VND/way, while Pacific Airlines has a minimum fare of 1,119,000 VND/way.
