Ho Chi Minh City is set to hold a fireworks display on the eve of Tet Ất Tỵ 2025, across 15 locations, with 2 high-altitude and 13 low-altitude launch sites.

The city's Command and the Department of Culture and Sports have submitted a proposal to the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to organize a New Year's fireworks display. The proposal has been approved, with fireworks set to be launched at 2 high-altitude and 13 low-altitude locations. The show will last for 15 minutes, from 12:00 AM to 12:15 AM on January 29 (the first day of Tet Ất Tỵ). The two high-altitude launch points are the Saigon River Tunnel (Thu Duc City) and the Ben Duoc War Martyrs Memorial (Cu Chi).

There will be 13 low-altitude fireworks sites. Thu Duc City will have 3 locations: Ben Noc Memorial, Thao Dien Urban Area, and the Saigon River area. District 12 will have one at the 38ha Residential Area Park. Cu Chi District will have one at the Northwest Industrial Park. Binh Chanh District will have one at the Memorial for the 1968 Tet Offensive. Hoc Mon District will have one at the Ngã Ba Giồng Martyrs Memorial. In Nha Be District, fireworks will light up near the Rach Dìa Bridge. In District 11, the display will be held at Dam Sen Cultural Park. Other locations include the Rung Sac Martyrs Memorial (Can Gio District), the Central Administrative Square in District 7, the Hoa Binh Square (Go Vap District), and the Binh Dien Market area (District 8).

In addition to the spectacular fireworks displays, Ho Chi Minh City will also host numerous cultural and artistic activities to celebrate the arrival of Tet Ất Tỵ 2025. These include:
