The renowned Hồ Than Thở in Lâm Đồng Province is set to be transformed into Delight Park Đà Lạt, an entertainment complex featuring floral displays and artistic light installations.
Vietnam's largest light park
On January 10, the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Lâm Đồng Province announced plans to develop Hồ Than Thở into Delight Park Đà Lạt, a floral and light art entertainment park. Daytime activities at the lake will continue as usual, while the surrounding area and a 39-hectare pine forest will be transformed into a light park at night. This initiative aims to preserve the lake's beauty, a symbolic landmark of Đà Lạt.

Mr. Phạm Tuấn Anh, marketing business director of Delight Park Đà Lạt, shared that the light park tour will be named “Vạn Hoa Tiên Cảnh” (Enchanted Floral Wonderland). The name reflects the integration of modern lighting systems with the lake's floral, water, and pine forest landscapes, creating breathtaking, fairy-tale-like scenes. The magical light displays at night will enhance the familiar natural surroundings.
The first phase of the project, the floral and light park, is scheduled to open during the Lunar New Year in 2025. This project is part of efforts to boost nighttime economic activities in Đà Lạt.
Hồ Than Thở – A Symbolic Landmark in the Heart of the City of a Thousand Flowers
Hồ Than Thở is a renowned and iconic destination in Đà Lạt. Located approximately 6 kilometers east of the city center, the lake exudes a serene and poetic charm. The name “Than Thở” (Sighing Lake) reflects the tranquil, melancholic atmosphere of the area. Surrounded by endless green pine forests, the lake offers a picturesque and peaceful retreat, perfect for those seeking quiet moments. Transforming the lake into a grand light park marks a significant step forward for this landmark and for Đà Lạt as a whole.
