Hon Thay Boi is a tiny island located in the Gulf of Thailand, situated on the northwest coast of Phu Quoc Island, about 2.67 km from the shore. With a coastline stretching 250 meters and an area of 3700m2, this place still retains its natural beauty, featuring crystal-clear waters and fine white sand, leaving visitors with lasting memories after each visit.
What makes Hon Thay Boi unique is its proximity to the Cambodia border, placing it within a restricted area. Tourists are not allowed to visit unless granted special permission by the local military. Hon Thay Boi lacks a beach and is surrounded by coral reefs. As a result, visitors must swim from their boat to reach the island. The island is home to various species of birds, and the surrounding coastline is rich with marine life.
To reach this island, you must hire a boat or canoe. From VinWonders Phu Quoc, it takes about 10 minutes by canoe. If traveling by boat, departing from Duong Dong, the journey takes approximately 2 hours.
