Autumn in Hue is much shorter compared to Hanoi or other northern regions. So, if you want to experience the charming yet brief autumn here, make sure to take full advantage of the time available!
Rú Chá Mangrove Forest
Autumn in Rú Chá
Located about 15 km to the east of Hue's city center, the Rú Chá mangrove forest has drawn many visitors since early October due to its exceptionally captivating colors, perfect for sightseeing, recreation, and exploration.
Rú Chá is known as the last remaining mangrove forest in the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon, covering an area of about 5.8 hectares. The forest acts as a natural shield protecting the mainland of the Thuận An coast. It is also home to many rare species of plants and animals, including some listed in the Red Book.
Notably, Rú Chá is home to the Giá tree – a woody plant with shallow, water-submerged roots. The flowers of this tree are pale yellow, measuring 3-12 cm in length, and bloom in the leaf axils. Every October, the flowers of this tree bloom, creating a wave of yellow blossoms that give the forest its distinctive and captivating golden hue.
From above, the entire forest appears to be draped in a vibrant golden cloak, incredibly eye-catching and alluring.
The Thai Porcelain Flower Road
This flower road was only recently completed at the foot of the Phu Xuan Bridge, Vinh Ninh Ward, Hue City. The Trầm ổi flowers have yellow stamens and cream-colored petals, reaching above knee height. These flowers usually bloom in the autumn. When they all bloom together, they weave a soft, captivating hue throughout the entire road. Moreover, the intriguing shape and color of the flowers only enhance the dreamy, enchanting charm of both banks of the Huong River, the majestic Truong Tien Bridge, and, more broadly, the sweet and dreamy painting of Hue itself.
Văn Thánh Flower Garden

Nestled beside the enchanting Huong River, the Văn Thánh Flower Garden has long been a beloved spot for leisurely strolls and photoshoots. Especially during the autumn, the number of visitors increases significantly as people come to enjoy the gentle, fresh atmosphere that the garden offers.
During this season, the flower beds at Văn Thánh bloom in a brilliant display, with each corner showcasing a different flower and color, creating a vibrant and captivating picture. Autumn is the time when numerous flowers such as asters, butterflies, and sunflowers come into full bloom.
The garden is quite spacious, with several charming sections arranged throughout, so you can easily find the perfect spot to take high-quality, Instagram-worthy photos for all your social media posts!
