Rú Chá Mangrove Forest

Located about 15 km to the east of Hue's city center, the Rú Chá mangrove forest has drawn many visitors since early October due to its exceptionally captivating colors, perfect for sightseeing, recreation, and exploration.
Rú Chá is known as the last remaining mangrove forest in the Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon, covering an area of about 5.8 hectares. The forest acts as a natural shield protecting the mainland of the Thuận An coast. It is also home to many rare species of plants and animals, including some listed in the Red Book.
Notably, Rú Chá is home to the Giá tree – a woody plant with shallow, water-submerged roots. The flowers of this tree are pale yellow, measuring 3-12 cm in length, and bloom in the leaf axils. Every October, the flowers of this tree bloom, creating a wave of yellow blossoms that give the forest its distinctive and captivating golden hue.
