Vietnam Airlines, the national carrier, has recently announced that it will start offering flights from Vietnam to Frankfurt (Germany) at the end of June. This service is intended to meet the travel needs of both domestic and international passengers, especially in light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Please see below for further details.
The flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Frankfurt (Germany) operated by Vietnam Airlines is expected to depart on June 26, 2021, with the following details:
- Departure time: 10:00 AM at Tan Son Nhat Airport; Arrival time: 6:05 PM at Frankfurt Airport (local time).
- Flight number: VN31.
The flight from Vietnam to Germany is scheduled to depart on June 26, 2021.
Important notices:
- On this flight, upgrades within the same class and baggage allowance will follow the current regulations set by Vietnam Airlines.
- Passengers must present a negative Covid-19 PCR test result taken within 72 hours before entering Germany. This requirement does not apply to the flight crew on duty or children under 6 years old.
- In Frankfurt, the handling company does not provide assistance for unaccompanied minors (UM) under the age of 5, and will only accept UM passengers with confirmation from SSR or a representative of VNFRA.

At the same time, Vietnam Airlines continues to operate repatriation flights from international locations to Vietnam, bringing Vietnamese citizens back home and welcoming foreign experts and engineers arriving to work in Vietnam.
The following is the expected international flight schedule for Vietnam Airlines in June and July:
- Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Sydney (SYD) will be operated on June 17, 20, 24, 27, July 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, and 29, 2021.
- Hanoi (HAN) to Paris (CDG) will be operated on June 17, 2021.
- Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) to Frankfurt (FRA) will be operated on June 26, 2021.
Repatriation flight schedule:
- Paris (CDG) to Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) will be operated on June 18, 2021.
