Each airline has specific regulations about what you can or cannot bring on board during your flight. This article from Mytour.vn aims to help you by listing items that are permitted and those that are prohibited on Jetstar Pacific flights.

What items are ALLOWED/NOT ALLOWED to be brought into the Jetstar Pacific airplane cabin?
Items ALLOWED to bring on board the airplane
Carry-on luggage size restrictions
Carry-on luggage size limitations are set by Jetstar Pacific depending on the fare class you choose.
- Starter, Starter Plus, and Starter Max tickets: You are allowed to bring 1 main piece of luggage (that fits in the overhead compartment) per person, along with 1 small item (that fits under the seat in front of you).
The total weight is 7kg (or 14kg if you purchase an additional 7kg carry-on allowance, with no item exceeding 10kg).
- Flex package and Business class: 1 main piece of luggage (that fits in the overhead compartment) per person, plus 1 small item (that fits under the seat in front of you).
The total weight is 14kg (with no item exceeding 10kg).
Note:
- The main carry-on luggage must fit in the overhead compartment and should not exceed 56cm (height) x 36cm (width) x 23cm (depth).
- The small item must fit neatly under the seat in front of you.
Small items that passengers can bring into the passenger cabin without counting toward the checked luggage weight:
- Handbags, pocket books, or wallets.
- A laptop in a slim case.
- A small camera.
- Baby food to be consumed during the flight.
- Approved duty-free goods.
Carry-on luggage must be checked at the boarding gate. If passengers carry too many items or if they exceed size or weight limits, oversized luggage will need to be checked in and incur a fee. Therefore, passengers can avoid excess baggage charges at the airport by purchasing checked luggage allowance in advance before their flight.
Medications on the flight
If passengers need to bring medications for use during the flight, they should carefully review the relevant regulations:
- Jetstar Pacific advises passengers to pack essential medications in their carry-on baggage for easy access at any time. If packed in checked luggage, retrieving them could take a significant amount of time.
- Medications should have professionally printed labels indicating the medicine's name, the manufacturer's name, or the pharmaceutical label. Security or customs officers may request verification or a doctor's prescription listing the medication.
If a passenger needs to carry a subcutaneous needle, please declare this to the security personnel and provide any relevant documents or paperwork related to the necessity of carrying the needle.
Strollers, Child Seats
Passengers are allowed to bring a child seat mounted in a car onto the passenger cabin designated for babies or children to sit.
If a passenger's stroller fits within the carry-on baggage size limits (56cm x 23cm x 36cm) and is securely packed in protective packaging or a bag, they may bring it into the passenger cabin on most Jetstar flights. The stroller will count toward the passenger's carry-on baggage allowance.
Items NOT ALLOWED in the aircraft cabin
- The following travel accessories are not allowed in the aircraft cabin:
+ Protecting the knees or using any device that obstructs other passengers from reclining their seats.
+ Footrests or any items attached to the seat that hinder the movement of other passengers to the aisles.
+ Travel accessories attached to the airplane seat that are inserted between the seats or block the aisle or access to other rows.
+ Self-balancing boards (skateboard-like balance vehicles) are also prohibited in checked luggage.
+ Such items can obstruct the seat access and aisles, damage airplane seats and equipment, and hinder emergency equipment access.
- Additionally, passengers are required to declare any cash before their flight. If passengers plan to carry 10,000 Australian Dollars or more (or the equivalent in foreign currency) on a flight to or from Australia, they must declare it to customs.
- Dangerous goods: Certain items are prohibited in carry-on luggage, so make sure to remove any banned items and don’t forget to check the liquid, aerosol, gel, and powder limits when flying from an international terminal.
Above is some information on the items that are ALLOWED and NOT ALLOWED to be carried on Jetstar Pacific flights. If you have any questions or need assistance with booking a flight, please contact Mytour at the hotline 1900 2083 for the best support.
