Thailand announces the updated entry regulations effective from July 1, 2022
Specifically, Thailand's entry and exit regulations are effective from July 1, 2022 with the following details:

There is no requirement to submit a Thailand Pass declaration.
REQUIREMENTS FOR COVID-19 CONTROL DOCUMENTS BEFORE DEPARTURE
- Travelers entering Thailand must present one of the following documents:
+ A vaccination certificate showing the traveler has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 14 days prior to departure; or
+ A valid RT-PCR or rapid antigen (ATK) COVID-19 test result (self-test results are not accepted), issued no more than 72 hours before departure.
- This requirement does not apply to children under 6 years old.

No requirement for health insurance
QUARANTINE REQUIREMENTS

- Government travel restrictions may change frequently and sometimes be enforced without prior notice.
- This information is for reference only and does not guarantee the approval of a traveler's entry or exit.
In comparison to previous conditions, Thailand's entry requirements are now seen as much more relaxed. This shift aligns with the current situation, as COVID-19 has become 'normalized' and sectors like education, economy, and commerce must adjust to the 'new normal.' Additionally, this relaxation reflects the desire to stimulate tourism, encourage travel exchange, and accelerate the growth of international tourism, following a prolonged hiatus caused by the COVID-19 pandemic's effects.
Previously, travelers wishing to enter Thailand were required to have a Thailand Pass along with a visa, as per the usual procedure. The Thailand Pass was considered a type of 'Thailand Travel Authorization' for those arriving in the Land of Smiles by air. It has been in use since November 2021, replacing the CoE (Certificate of Entry) system. Essentially, this new system streamlines the entry process by reducing paperwork and time when compared to the CoE system previously in place.
However, since July 1, 2022, Thailand no longer requires travelers to register for the Thailand Pass before entering the country. At present, the only mandatory document required for entry is one of the documents mentioned earlier. Therefore, if you're planning to book a flight to Thailand for a holiday during this period, make sure you're fully vaccinated.
