The Seoul Lantern Festival is an annual event held in the capital city of South Korea. The festival first took place in 2009 and is traditionally celebrated during the first Friday of November, continuing until the third Sunday of the month. However, this year the festival will be held later, from December 16th to December 31st, 2022.

Additionally, this year’s event is different from previous years in that it will no longer be held along the familiar Cheonggyecheon Stream. Instead, it will take place at Gwanghwamun Square.
