Visiting Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi, you will immerse yourself in the vibrant beauty of the vast ocean. With a total area of 9,094m² and 67 large display tanks, the aquarium is currently home to over 31,000 marine creatures from more than 400 species. The design of the aquarium is inspired by mythical tales of the Whale God, a deity who protects fishermen at sea. Here, the image of the Whale God serves as a guiding symbol for an adventurous journey filled with wonders.
Visitors can explore a 650-meter-long pathway through the aquarium, passing through various themed zones. Each zone features a unique theme: Peaceful Village, Strolling by the Sea, Exploring the Blue Ocean, Ocean Square, and more. Here, you can encounter Humboldt penguins, sand tiger sharks, sea lions, and small-clawed otters. Notably, two California sea lions made their first appearance in Vietnam in May.
A colorful destination for exploration and fun
In addition to housing unique marine creatures, Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi also boasts one of Southeast Asia's largest curved acrylic tanks. Positioned overhead like a grand dome, this tank allows visitors to marvel at schools of fish swimming above them. Furthermore, the aquarium features interactive zones where guests can listen to the sounds of marine life, offering a closer connection to the ocean's inhabitants.
In the “Whirlpool” area, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree view of marine life. Following the guided path, guests will encounter themed zones such as “Coral Garden” and “Shipwreck,” each meticulously designed by Lotte World to provide diverse and immersive experiences. Additionally, the aquarium hosts captivating performances, including mermaid shows, magic acts, and diver interactions, creating unforgettable memories, especially for children.
After a year of operation, Lotte World Aquarium Hanoi has also become a sought-after venue for special events. Located on the B1 and B2 floors of Lotte Westlake Hanoi Shopping Center, the aquarium is accessible from two addresses: 683 Lac Long Quan or 272 Vo Chi Cong. It is situated to the left of the shopping center's main entrance.
