According to official information from Vietnam Airlines, the airline has resumed regular commercial flights connecting Guangzhou and Shanghai in China to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, with the following schedule:
- The Ho Chi Minh City – Shanghai flight operates every Wednesday
- The Ho Chi Minh City – Guangzhou flight operates every Friday
- The Hanoi – Shanghai flight operates on Mondays and Fridays every week
- The Hanoi – Guangzhou flight operates on Thursdays and Saturdays every week (starting from February 9, 2023)
A quick reminder for those traveling to China: make sure to check the entry requirements and provide necessary documents related to the health test. Here's what you need to know:
- Remote testing: Travelers wishing to enter China must take a PCR test within 48 hours before departure. If the result is negative, they are allowed entry. No need to apply for a health code from the Chinese Embassy abroad, but the test result must be entered on the health code application form for customs entry. If the result is positive, entry is allowed only after receiving a negative result.
- Quarantine upon entry: The Chinese government has removed the PCR testing requirement for all incoming passengers. Travelers with a valid health declaration as per the customs quarantine regulations can enter without quarantine. Those with invalid health declarations or symptoms such as fever will undergo an antigen test. Individuals with a positive result and mild or no symptoms may isolate and treat themselves at home or in an isolation facility, while others will be treated at a medical facility.
