Building on last year's success, the Vietnam Roadshow – Ho Chi Minh City in Australia 2024 is being held to showcase Vietnam's image to the Australian public and tourism industry, as well as to strengthen partnerships and open new opportunities for Australian and Vietnamese tourism stakeholders. This promotional campaign will take place in two Australian states: New South Wales and Victoria. Specifically, events will be hosted at Parramatta Town Hall, New South Wales, on the afternoon of May 13 and all day May 14, and at the Crown Towers Melbourne, Victoria, on the afternoon of May 17, 2024.
In 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic, Ho Chi Minh City welcomed nearly 300,000 visitors from Australia. In 2022, after the pandemic was controlled, the Australian tourism market showed a remarkable recovery, with Vietnam reopening to international visitors, receiving over 130,000 guests in 2022 and more than 246,000 in 2023, making up approximately % of the total international arrivals to Ho Chi Minh City.
