3. The title of 'World's Leading Tourist Town 2024'
Following its previous accolades at the World Travel Awards, Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc) has proudly earned the title of 'World's Leading Tourist Town 2024'. This northern district of Vinh Phuc, which won the same title in 2022, is once again recognized. Phase 2 (November 26, 2024):
(4) The architectural heritage site of the Tien Luc Temple, Pagoda, and Ancestor Worship Complex in Lang Giang District, Bac Giang Province
(5) The architectural heritage site of the Dinh Bang Communal House in Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province
(6) The historical and architectural site of the Da Hoa – Da Trach Complex in Khoai Chau District, Hung Yen Province
(7) The historical site of the Tomb and Memorial Area of Le Huu Trac in Huong Son District, Ha Tinh Province
(8) The historical site of the Ho Chi Minh Trail at Sea in Hai Phong City, Phu Yen Province, Ba Ria – Vung Tau Province, and Ca Mau Province
(9) The historical site of the 105mm Artillery Position of Battalion 805 in Dien Bien Phu City and Dien Bien District, Dien Bien Province
7. Recovery post-pandemic and becoming a key economic sector
Looking back at 2024, this year marks a remarkable recovery for Vietnam's tourism industry. With impressive figures and significant growth compared to the same period in 2023, international tourists to Vietnam reached nearly 17.5 million (up by 38.9%). Domestic tourists were estimated at 110 million (up by 1.6%). The total revenue from tourism was around 840,000 billion VND (an increase of 23.8%) according to the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's official data.
