According to local tradition, the Cẩm Thanh coconut forest has existed for about 200 years. Early settlers from the Southwestern region brought the water coconut tree here and planted it in the fertile land. This is how the name Bai Mau Coconut Forest was born, although its current area has expanded to 100 hectares.

How to get to Bai Mau Coconut Forest

From Hoi An city, you have two ways to reach the Bai Mau Coconut Forest:

- By river: Take a boat ride from the Bach Dang dock in Hoi An's ancient town. The boat will take you along the Thu Bon River to the coconut forest. If you enjoy the experience of sitting on a boat, enjoying the surrounding nature, and observing the daily life of the local people, this will be a great choice for you.

- By road: Start from Hoi An, head along Tran Nhan Tong Street, cross the Cua Dai Bridge, and continue for half a kilometer to reach the coconut forest, which takes about 10 minutes by car.

From Da Nang city, you can choose between two routes:

- Route 1: Starting from the Dragon Bridge, drive to the ancient town of Hoi An via Ngô Quyền - Ngũ Hành Sơn streets. Afterward, travel from the ancient town to the coconut forest.
